Polska play a friendly on Wednesdsay against USA in Krakow; it's the last match before Leo will announce his squad for Euro 2008.

I believe kick off is 20.30 Polish time and will be shown on Polish TV live; if this is incorrect I am sure someone will put me right :o)

For me it may be like watching Polska v half Fulham FC (there are a number of US internationals playing for Fulham)...... Casey Keller, Carlos Bocanegra, Brian McBride, Eddie Johnston, Clint Dempsey ! I wonder how many of these players will be in the US squad .... although Tim Howard (Everton) is more likely to start in goal than Casey. Marcus Hanneman and Brad Friedel are also Americans playing in Premiership, but not sure if they are in the US squad.

Come on Polska .....Biało Czerwoni :o)))

I wonder if Leo will be playing his strongest team on Wednesday or will he still be experimenting with fringe players ?

Casey is quite old, isn't he ?...

Roger will have the Polish citizenship within 2 weeks, so he won't play this game, but maybe the next one...

Go PoLsKa !!! ;)

While i'm 100% English i'm very interested in how the Polish team is developing, i've been a fan of Leo Beenhakker for a while, pre-poland even and would of liked to have seen him appointed England's manager. So good luck to Poland and i shall have one eye on the result on wednesday as we go over and stick it to the French :)

is that true .... or just speculation ?

i read an article in Polish sports magazine a few weeks ago that Roger was praying for a call up from Brazil, and wasn't interested in playing for Poland ... at least not yet :o)

As an American, my friends think that its bizarre that I root for Poland in international competition (World Cup, Olympics) especially when I root for Poland over the USA (Go Polska, beat those Yanks on Wednesday!). I'm curious to why they think that's strange. I get to root for American sports and athletes all the time, in leagues and otherwise, so I don't find it odd to root for Poland when these sort of things come up. It doesn't make me anti-American, I just love Poland! My friends families have been here to long to understand, I think.

Best squad will play in this one. We are missing only Jakub Błaszczykowski (Borussia Dortmund) and Adam Kokoszka (Wisła Kraków), both recovering from injuries.

Goalkeepers: Artur Boruc (Celtic Glasgow), Tomasz Kuszczak (Manchester United), Łukasz Fabiański (Arsenal London)

Defenders: Marcin Wasilewski (Anderlecht Brussels), Paweł Golański (Steaua Bucharest), Mariusz Jop (FK Moscow), Jacek B±k (Austria Vienna), Michał Żewłakow (Olympiakos Athens), Grzegorz Bronowicki (Crvena Zvezda Belgrade), Arkadiusz Radomski (Austria Vienna)

Midfielders: Mariusz Lewandowski (Shakhtar Donetsk), Dariusz Dudka (Wisła Kraków), Rafał Murawski (Lech Poznań), Michał Pazdan (Górnik Zabrze), Wojciech Łobodziński (Wisła Kraków), Łukasz Garguła (PGE GKS Bełchatów), Jacek Krzynówek (VfL Wolfsburg)

Forwards: Maciej Żurawski (AE Larissa), Euzebiusz Smolarek (Racing Santander), Łukasz Piszczek (Hertha Berlin), Radosław Matusiak (Wisła Kraków), Paweł Brożek (Wisła Kraków)

Reserve list: Marcin Ku¶ (Kolporter Korona Kielce), Jakub Wawrzyniak (Legia Warszawa), Michał Goliński (Zagłębie Lubin), Tomasz Zahorski (Górnik Zabrze).

I have a similar situation .... I was born in England, so I suppose most people would think I would support England first and then Poland ; however being brought up by my Polish mother and Polish grandparents I have always considerd myself a Pole who just happened to be born on English soil :o) and found supporting Poland in sport competitions quite natural.

I was extremely proud as a 10 yr old to be at Wembley in 1973 to witness the famous 1-1 draw between England and Poland which denied England qualification the the 1974 World Cup Finals in Germany :o))))

I suppose having a successful Polish national team at that time made it easier to see myself as Polish rather than English. However over subsequest meetings I have had to watch with disappointment as England came out on top :o(((

When Poland is not involved I will support England, but there is only one country I truly support and Love .... and that's Polska ! :o)))

For as long as I can remember, I have always felt more Polish than English, even though I have lived all my life in London - it's probably down to the way I was brought up, speaking Polish before I could speak English, going to Polish church and having a lot of Polish friends even at school where we were known as the 'Polaks' :o)

I got on very well with everyone at school and later at Uni, made lots of friends, but always had more in common with other Poles or even other european (Spanish, Italian etc) kids than English.

If you don't get the game at home I'm sure a local pub will be showing the game considering all the new Poles living in the UK.

Go out, grab a pint, watch the game, fraternize, etc. etc.

I don't know. The pubs tend to have Sky and Setanta but I'm not sure about anything else.

thats probably the best advice PD, as i don't think any of the channels in the UK will be showing the Polandvs USA game unless Eurosport is showing it. Not many of the free sky channles or even the exclusive ones show much foreign international football unless its Brazil, Argentina etc etc.

So as El Gato said best get yourself down to your local Polish hang out and hope that they are showing the game :)

Sky Sports? I think FSC is affiliated with Sky because they have Sky Sports News all the time on that channel. Talk about football, rugby, and cricket all the time.

I'm sure it won't be that hard to find the game on television somewhere.

PD are you looking for live coverage or are you just looking for updates, if your just looking for updates, then you can get them online, teletext or on sky sports news which is a freeview channel :) If you want the game live i doubt very much it will be on any channels in the uk, including sky sports and Setanta

Yeah live coverage would have been good but like you say, I doubt I'll get it, it's not on Setanta, Sky or Eurosport. BBC Interactive are showing NI v Georgia. If I can't get it over the internet it'll be updates only :(

Really? Setanta shows live games all the time. That was the only channel that we've been able to watch the Polish matches on lately. The only reason its on FSC now is because its against the US.

If you know about P2P streaming online you probably will get the game from this site.

http://www.myp2p.eu/broadcast.php?matchid=8764&part=sports

Have a browse of the site and get familiar with the software. Majority of the time they use a program called sopcast. I watch a lot of college american football this way in Poland.

Ah thanks, that's kind :)

Setanta here shows mostly domestic games. Not many internationals.

I see.

Here GolTV shows a lot of Bundesliga and Spanish Premiership games. I personally enjoy English football more but my father likes the Bundesliga a lot.

If that is your prediction, I don't think much of it! :)

4-1 Poland! Easy! :)

Having said that, if Boruc is in goals and starts his flapping...

Boruc will play first half, then Kuszczak said Leo Beenhakker. Asked if we play for real he said: "Yesh Of courshe!"

3-1 USA? I doubt that. The Polish and Americans both play a similar type of football. Mostly defensive with counter attacks. Neither team is that creative with the ball in the attack. I would say it could go 1-0 either way. The US will probably play their starters the whole match, while Poland will most likely sit their starters the second half. They have a lot more important things to worry about in a couple months.

All matches are important. Are you trying to say that the US isn't even considered legitimate competition?
