Okay, for me i think and hope :

Gr. A : Poland and Portugal
Gr. B : France and maybe Italy (revenge of the world cup final, LoL)
Gr. C : hmm...Greece, Turkey, Norway...
Gr. D : oh...Germany, the Czech Rep...maybe Ireland but it'll be difficult for them
Gr. E : Croatia, England i guess
Gr. F : Sweden, Denmark
Gr. G : Romania, Bulgaria, the Netherlands...

LoL no many surprises for me :p but we never know !...the magic of football ;)

Peace! ;)

i don't think italy will qualify, they don't deserve it after world cup and mazeratti...
i am not sure too if england will qualify, they play 2 tough games with russian brilliant tactician, they footballers maybe lack skill, but have an iron fist that guide them.croatia now has only few easy games, and last with england which will have no effect on score.
but i hope england will pass, now they are stronger with beckam, man's a ***** but he knows how to play

I believe Andorra, Lichtenstein and San Marino have the best chances :-)

For the Top 5 it's more complicated...

1. France (LoL)
2. Germany
3. Italy
4. The Netherlands
5. Poland (maybe...because they can be very good, beating Portugal 2-1, then, they can be not bad but...loosing to Armenia...LoL)

But European football is the best of the world, so it's complicated to do a Top 5...we should try a Top 10, it'd be easier ! ;)

if they manage to man the football field,it 'll be a hell of a match.
i bet both player of Lichenstein will come to play against that one guy from San Marino...but who will actually live San Marino during Euro 08 if he qualifies?
and does he have to go over Italian border if he kick the ball in corner???
sometimes life is so complicated:((

why not, there's still hope, serbia and portugal aren't impressive this qual at all...

sweden,n. ireland

ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha!!!!!!!

i think spain won't qualify,n.irish are impressive and have one game less than spain.

but i think germany is probably the best team on the world, not just europe.
look other ''great'' football nations:
Spain-their group favorite, they'll be lucky if they qualify,disgrace...

England-they invented football, but they aren't as good as they reputation is.they'll be lucky too if they qualify.

Italy-with all corruption affairs in their football, and shameful last world cup finals, they don't deserve to compete at all.

Netherlands-great individuals,maybe best technique,but they are not a team.but i like them,so i hope they''ll qualify.

only france and germany stayed football supepowers, but it seems we have new ones at horizon-poland,croatia,romania...

if we follow the history, italy should win. This happened with France, after winnig World Cup in 1998, they won Euro 2000, too.But I like Germany, and being romanianI hope they will do a good job. What do you think Will they qualify, or Bulgaria?

romania.you got great history,you remember 98'?
when croatia defeated romania, few of our players dye their hair in yellow,in a sign of friendship to romania because your team said they hope we will win world cup.well we almost did...

We're not all idiots - just so you know.
USA's loss to Austria on Saturday was appalling - we were outplayed all game. I was shocked when we scored the first goal, but not surprised when we lost the game. It's too bad - team USA can play brilliantly, but also horribly. I guess we can say the same for Argentina after their embarrassing game against Brazil in the Copa Americana final. Of course, I'm not putting the American team in the same league as the Argentinians, just making the point that teams that play well can also play...well... not so well.
While we're on the subject of football - the groups for the Women's World Cup have been established. Which country wins each group? Which countries play in the final on 9/30? Which country wins?

i wasn't aware that women play football,so i don't know.it's just not sexy.
and i don't think all americans are stupid,i just claim that you care too little about foreign states,i met many americans who are not aware of europe's history at all, which is your roots.
it's a matter of culture to know capital city of france.
hey,how's Beckam doing in Usa?

I think the women's national teams play some excellent football - I'm looking foward to the World Cup matches.

When you generalize that way, it doesn't go over well. If your knowledge of Americans is limited to some who are uncultured, I suggest you expand your base. There are plenty of us here who know quite a lot about foreign countries. I daresay I don't judge your level of sophistication by how much you know about America.
Now, don't get me wrong - I am not saying that most Americans are as well educated as most Europeans, because I believe the opposite. Our education system is severely lacking, which is why most American high school and college graduates are still way behind their European counterparts, and I think that's disgraceful of us. Culture is not instilled in American students, because we spend so much time just trying to get them to pass their more basic math, science and english tests. American youth are not motivated to learn, except the really useful things like electronic games and texting. It's a pretty sad state.
There's a lot of excitement around Beckham joining the LA Galaxy. I hope it serves its purpose and brings many more American fans to the game. I'll be checking the schedule for the NY Red Bulls to see when they next play LA and try to make it, but it's not always possible for me - too many games are played during the work week and the stadium is nearly two hours away from where I live. If I'm lucky enough to make a match, I'll give you a report.
