the question was asked 'why would you prefer to employ a british plumber than a polish one??' so i answered why i would employ a british plumber. If the Polish want to do that with their money its their choice, so therfore it should be my choice on who i employ???


Of course it's your choice

I'm of the opinion that the rational, sensible thing to do is employ the plumber who offers the best service or the best value for money service. That could be either.

Maybe I should instead think about doing my bit for the economy...

i'm sure they are and i'm sure they do. I have nothing against polish plumbers or in fact any other plumber from where ever he/she may hail from. Cowboys come from everywhere and good plumbers come from everywhere. Please do not feel like i am criticising the skills of the Polish workers because i am not
