Real Intimacy

What is real intimacy? And can it ever really be achieved with someone who doesn't speak your native language? What do you all think?

good question. I have never thought about it.

Real intimacy is the ultimate trust in someone, accepting the other person's downfalls and give yourself to that other person wholheartly.
It's harder with a language barrier and two things can happen:
1. It will be short-lived because you need to communicate not only physically but also verbally. Being intimate is giving the whole body and mind to that other person which means your thoughts are very important too.
2. If it is very strong, the language barrier will be overcome by learning that language and can lead to everlasting happiness and with the undenying trust in each other it will work and it will be beautiful.

Spaniels' sense of smell is highly developed - we even pick up scents with our ears!

Why does the word " Intimacy "
Conjure up thoughts of sex..?

Intimate moments. ( To my mind )
Are the times you spend/Share. With another person. One to one.

When sometimes. Words have no real place.

The moment.. When your hands.. Eyes Meet..
And the feeling you have.
Says everything you ever wanted to. But never knew how to.

Intimacy = Togetherness

A shared moment in time. However brief.

actually im seeing someone now who doesnt speak too good english, but when were together everything clicks
its really weird because sometimes its easier to express our feeling without using words.
i forget the saying, but something like 5%of communication is through language

I think intimacy is confusing for some people i guess.......

Ever stood across the room from someone and made eye contact with them not once but a number of times i guess this is a phyical attraction....how do you know that person can speak the same language? If its the same body language then arent you understanding each other anyway?

To tell the truth I do! But at my age a slap is better than nothing! I once pinched a girl's boobs in Tescos and was later arrested. I spoke about intimacy to the police and mentioned that I was picking up the wrong signals almost all the time.

I am not into beastiality at all and neither is my dog! I read about a guy that tried but nearly got his old boy bitten off. Wouldn't fancy that I can tell yah!

He means certain animals like swans who mate for life, when one dies, so does the other. That's because they can't talk and can't put a personal add in the paper to find another mate. :)

when i worked in hospitals, if a patient died, very often there wife or husband would within the week, really sad.
