Redheads in Poland - How many?

I'm not looking for an exact number.
Red / ginger hair is found all over Europe to varying degrees.

It is probably most common in Ireland.
It is also surprisingly common in Udmurtia (never heard of it?)

The important questions here are:
Are you Polish and ginger?
Do you know anyone who is?

No squabbling please.

Actually, last year I had strawberry blonde hair for approximately one month, during the holidays. I prefer blonde hair for myself.

Gave it a go and all I got was they used to be burnt in medieval Poland and that they are supposed to bring good luck.
Worldwide prevelance is 1%, highest prevelance is in Scotland/Ireland at 10%.

Do you mean dyeing their hair? Those people I'm talking about have naturally ginger hair.

Surely the all time Polish ginger is Zbigniew Boniek.

Other than that I cant think of any apart from that dickhead that does Eurovision.

My son is half Polish and has ginger hair, inherited from me !

A rare opportunity here - my flatmate is actually awake.
Two of his mates back home have ginger hair.
In his town he has seen at least two others.
One, however, he has described as Kasztan.

What's the count so far?

I reckon less. If Scotland traditionally has or had one of the highest proportions of redheads in the world, and this in the 1950s averaged at about 10%, and southern England only about 5%, Poland ought to have less. Probably.

The other alternative is that British redheads are more fiery and they go for the stand up and be counted option!

I don't believe in the fiery redhead thing - I've known fiery people of various other hair-colours. Brunettes dyed pink seem to be the most extreme from my experience!

source of info: Reader's Digest Atlas of Britain, 1965, and from my own experience/brain.
