Similar but different. But every nationality more or less different.

Culturally? Poland is more similar to Italy because of Roman Catholicism.

that's right, we even sing in our national Polish anthem about Italy, not about Russia...

By that logic I'm closer culturally to the Vietnamese and Japanese since I'm an atheist.

The two are not good comparisons at all. The fact is the Vatican has deeply influenced both Poland and Italy throughout history whether you like it or not.

Never heard anything similar. Italians are close to southern French, Spaniards and Greeks, that is Mediterranean mentality. What Poland has to do with it?

Applying the catholicism as only criteria your way of reasoning leads to conclusion that Poles are similar also to Irish, Scottish, Brazilians and Colombians as well as Mexicans and Austrians, and Congo people culturally?

Having known plenty of Mexicans, I must say that Poles and Mexicans are similar in terms of their social culture... specifically the openness to friends and strangers alike.

Anyway, going back to the main idea of the thread... multi-racial couples are increasingly more common in Poland, nowadays. Sure there's this stigma of Poles as being racist, but that's long gone in my opinion, especially in large metropolitan areas, and will be going away further as time goes on. I see black people in Krakow and guess what, nobody is staring at them. I see Malaysian girls wearing hijabs and again no strange looks there either.
When it comes to a relationship, the family will care if you're a good person, they won't care about the color of your skin.

The best of luck!

I dated a polish man for 3 years. I'm a black female from America . He was very caring. But he also wanted me to do everything he said. I loved him very much. But I've been much happier since he left.

As usual, you and the rest of the Balkan posters always seem to miss the point. Catholicism hasn't influenced all countries equally. However, in the case of Italy and Poland, the religion has greatly contributed to those two countries culturally. It's pretty obvious you have no idea about how important Catholicism has been to Poles throughout history. Then again though, you are a Serb, not a Pole. Don't think your "Slavic roots" makes you understand Polish culture.

Somehow I cannot get excited about a white-black couple. That means one Polish man less and a couple of Polish children less. Lost forever. What is here to celebrate?
The mixing is very very sad to me. I hope you split up soon before you bring any child to the world who will be very confused and would prefer to be 100% black like the mother.

If you were sure that you are right about this relationship you would not seek our approval.

I wll give you mine if you leave this poor Polish bloke and get interested in your own.

You're so racist this isn't even funny.

Also I'd like to point out that from my experience with Polish people it is by far more often the Polish females who run off with them "exotic" ( which for a Polish girl means pretty much anywhere else than Poland, Russia and Eastern Europe ) types, so blaming Polish guys is ridiculous.

People should do some research, before they go black!

The HIV rate among black women living in some U.S. cities is the same rate as that of some African countries, according to a new multicenter study presented Thursday at the 19th Conference of Retroviruses and Opportunistic Infections.

Do you mean that according to you a Polish girl would prefer to live let's say in Pakistan than in Poland?

Lies --> damn lies --> statistics.

That's usually how I view any sort of "racial" statistics from the US, the UK isn't much better.

There too many people out there with an agenda and an axe to grind in this particular field. Just look at the Trayvon Martin case where we've seen almost everything at this point ( I particularly enjoyed all the photo shenanigans, one can pretty much guess which way a given news article will lean based on which pair of photos of Trayvon and Zimmerman is attached )

Do you mean that according to you a Polish girl would prefer to live let's say in Pakistan than in Poland?

According to people who live in the UK and have a pair of eyes Polish ( and other Eastern European ) women are much more likely to be very impressed by Muhammad's job as a manager in his uncle's corner store and much more likely to convert to islam than women from other places.

Yes, some of them eventually move to Pakistan, put on a burkha and become a piece of furniture in the household of their husband's daddy in some godforsaken village.

Em, that because, per capita, more blacks have the virus compared to whites and other races.

Why would uber PC America and the UK distort the figures?

I have never come accross reputation about Polish women not being attracted to the men from Eastern Europe, any source?

You ever been to Poland?

Or are you Polish and have a hard time accepting that this is the attitude displayed by some of your female compatriots?

Same with me actually. I don't like most black woman though, but some of them I find insanely attractive and mesmerizing (like an actress Aïssa Maïga for example). I too however would never marry one because I couldn't bear having a mixed child. The thought that I would sever my family line from the European roots is something that I cannot even contemplate without having shivers going up and down my spine.

You mean you're racist.

Yes I'm Polish and why would I have problems with accepting that since I'm not from Russia nor Eastern Europe.

Could you give some source of Polish women saying of disliking Eastern European men cause I haven't come accross that yet. And rather then that I met one Polish girl with Russian bf and one with Balerusian...
