Young man I know (aged 25), IT specialist and devout Catholic, speaks no Polish but great-grandparents were from Poland, asked where he could touch base with a Polish Catholic girl of similar age, preferably also college educated. He prefers a girl who has not been passed from hand to hand and definitely with no 'baggage' (like kids from previous liaisons or divorced). And he wants at least 3 kids after marriage. Are Polish dating/matrimonial sites a good place to send him?

  • Well the vast majority of Poles are Catholic (does it matter the gender?) so that's a check.

  • According to W.H.O. statistics 17.5 millions Poles are women and 21% of the population is in their twenties, so that is definitely a check.

  • As for "baggage", according to E.U. statistics the divorce rate in Poland is 1.1 out of 1,000 residents (which is one of the very lowest in the EU, and generally low for int'l stats). The birth rate of Poland is also well kept at an 0.30% interval change, so there aren't an "excess" of children in proportion to the current living population. So the overall likelihood of "baggage" is low. So check (?)

Ifind this subject of conversation to be totally dumb!! a 20 years old girl with children or ex-husband?? But thats completely insane!! How you can ever thought that something like that might be possible? Ok, I know that such stuff are very common in the UK, but to tell you the truth I can barely imagine that!!! I have been studying at one of the biggest universities in Poland and most of my uni friends are female but none of the has ever got married or had a children. Having a aby at the gae of lets say 22 years old is totally irresponsible!!! You people do love to complicate your life :///

His ad should read - "25 year old virgin geek, spent all his time on his PC instead of getting a life - wants to meet someone like his mother."

Is he looking for another human being, or a piece of equipment? I am no feminist, but I tend to take offence at similar descriptions. "Not been passed from hand to hand" - indeed. :-/

I know this is neither here nor there in relation to your post. But I could not remain silent.

what's so bad about being a 25 year old virgin geek? :( :( :(

Anyways, geeks are rarely devout or even religious.. szkotja you've got some heavily biased look on "IT specialists"... why can't an IT specialist be athletic and have social life?

. "Not been passed from hand to hand"

It might have been Poloniuss addition instead of saying he prefers a virgin which would definitely be more "in your face"...

actually an IT guy at my work place is very handsome, athletic, great sense of humor, smart, and he has a wife and two kids... so i don't believe in the IT - guy - stereotype... :)
