Hi there

My father was Polish and a true gentleman. I am in my early 50's and was wondering what the chances of finding a nice Polish man to spend the rest of my life with. I live in the UK. I am going to Gdansk in April 2010. I am hoping I will be able to visit my father's home town of Wejherowo. Can anyone give me any information on what Wejherow is like. Am I likely to fulfill my dream of finding a really nice Polish man with a nice family.

It's reasonably pleasant but I wouldn't want to live there. Gdansk, on the other hand, is a very nice city to live in.

Wejherowo is an old garrison town, with many of the military buildings still existing, although serving different purposes. ie. civic offices.
As most Polish towns it has main square with surrounding shops, cafes, ice cream parlour and a bar providing outdoor seating under large umbrellas, where one can relax with a refreshment, whilst taking in the local environment.
Currently a lot of modernization is taking place to further enhance the town.
All according whether you will be staying with family or friends, there is further history and places of interest, which as locals, I am sure they would fill you in.
The tri-cities are a short train journey away and are a must see for any woman tourist. Loads to see and take in, you certainly won,t get bored.

As for " ARE THERE ANY DIVORCED POLISH MEN WHO WOULD WANT TO DATE AN ENGLISH WOMAN ". I,m sure there are plenty eligible gents, but personal introduction is a must. Remember Shirley Valentine.

Well I hope this little insight agrees with your taste and you have a pleasant visit.

If you speak Polish, try www.czateria.pl - they have chatrooms for people wanting to meet. Friends recommend it.

I've had my trip to Poland - I loved it. Every minute of it - there wasn't a moment that I didn't like. I loved Wejherowo - I even learned how to pronounce it lol. Didn't meet any nice eligible Polish men, but I'm still hoping. The hotel we stayed at was very interesting dating back to 1450's.

I loved Dluga street. Everything was just so charming.

thanks for all your comments.
