I met online.
Half the reason is love, half the reason is to gain EU membership and Polish citizenry.
She told me we would have to be married 5 years for me to gain Polish citizenship.
I will meet her in September as she is my date for my cousins wedding in Puck
Im thinking about just marrying her as she is hot and smart, and would make me more Polish.
Any advice or experience? Anybody?

I don't know. The whole story seems insincere. But maybe I'm mistaken.

...and somewhat shallow. I'm glad at least 1/2 the reason was love, it gives them 1/4 chance of making it through the first 1/8 of the year.

Sorry but you sound about as enthusiastic about marrying that lady as I am about my next visit to the dentist. When you love you know. When you do you don't need to ask others for advice. Just my perspective on it.

Disclaimer, as a divorced man my advice is about as accurate as last year's newspaper.

And when the half-love evaporates, all they'll have left is an immigration scam.

He'll have to live here for 3 years and six months first, can't see that one lasting ;)

If you get a job in Poland and have 10 kids together than that will make you more polish.

Do your parents have Polish citizenship? Or at least 1 grandparent with polish citizenship? If so, you can get a polish passport without having to marry a potential gold digger for a passport.

It sounds like you are quite young. Whilst it might seem like a good idea you will come to regret it in time. If you don't get on and want to meet another girl then what do you do?

So I would have to live married in Poland for three years to gain Polish/EU Citizenship?
So I'm not more enthusiastic, I suppose I just write in a dry manner. I am 27, and she is 20. We facebook, skype, and text constantly everyday. I love everything about her, and figured I have not found a significant other here in Chicago, then why not Poland.
I am 3rd and 4th generation Polish-American, with my ancestors living in Russian and Austrian Poland, so the chance for dual-citizenship that route seems ruled-out.
I appreciate all responses

And six months on top of that.

Most Polish-Americans last one or two years maximum.
