Just kidding you. Have a blast!

Try not to go overboard splurging on the first date.
Here's a couple ideas, that are nice, but not too costly. Try packing a quaint picnic, with fruits, cheeses, crackers and beverages. Attending a local play can also be kind of fun.

Actually what you should do is this: When you pick her up or meet her, explain to her that you had deposited your paycheck into your bank account but the funds haven't posted yet so you were unable to get any cash from the ATM and all you have in your pocket is $25. Tell her that you can go share a pizza or go to a movie. See what her reaction is. If she rolls her eyes and acts like a little princess whose just been denied a good time then that ought to tell you something about her character right away. If she shrugs and says "no problem, pizza or a movies sounds fine". Then you know she's interested in spending time with you. If she smiles and offers to get the popcorn and a coke to share at the movies, or a couple of beers to go with the pizza you're paying for then you know she's probably a keeper.

Look how much time I've saved you in figuring out what type of person she is in just the first 5 minutes of your date!

If your friend is 'traditional' then it's okay to spend a little on a first date; get to know each other etc. If your friend is a feminist then she should pay her own way. It's only fair that people live by their own philosophy. Of course if she is a feminist you should dump her immediately as no good can come from a relationship with her.

Young people should pay for themselves until their first normal job. There's no sense in paying for somebody with your parents money or with money you painfuly earned in your first part time job. Unfortunately not all people understand that.

As a girl, I would feel uncomfortable with a guy spending too much money. RonWest has the right idea. Pizza and a movie would be perfect, and this scenario would be a good way to find out about her character :)
I assume this girl is Polish. The only problem is that as far as I can tell, Polish guys do tend to splash out when its maybe not necessary. If she's used to that, then you might find she expects more. However, it might be a nice change for her to date a guy who doesnt feel he has to spend alot to impress. I'm not saying all Polish men do, but from expirience and what other people have said they seem to.
Good luck!

Carry with you money, pienadze, pienadzki and dengi. Most important are pienadzki.I think 50 euro is a proper amount. Then you have to pay 40 euro for the meal and 40 euro for the third rate hotel. This is for one polka alone because if you date two polki together you pay double for the meal.

If its a Polish Girl take around £500 and make sure you have a limitless credit card on you too, You will be expected to buy 4 or 5 lots of floweres throughout the night and then once you have had your meal you will need to pay for a limo to pick up all her friends who won't be able to speak English and will spend the entire evening scowling at you as you might as well be from a different planet, Then the onus lies on you to buy drinks for the entire group of sour faced scowling up their own arse bints for the rest of the night as simply and only because you are English you can afford it.

But remember "you are in the poland you must make speak in Polish"

Good Luck!

You seem to be a logical young woman.

One mistake too many guys make is this; they spend a lot on a first date. This accustoms the woman to expect such extravagance every time out.

It's obvious that more and more men are catching on. Todays women have overplayed their sex card. Many will be living alone with their cats when they are over 40 years old.

Look for the constant scowl on her face occasionally accompanied by a snarl. Also, many feminists don't trim their mustaches.

Depending on where Cheery currently resides, the weather may be rather favorable right now, to enjoy an intimate picnic for two peeps.

Your response has nothing to do with the subject but then you couldn't follow a straight line.
But since you opened up this avenue then you might want to look at this:
