Inside polish women's psychology and mind

I am looking to the profiles of some polish social sites (fotka etc) and I try to understand the female psychology of polish women.
I see profiles that 'dont have children', and 'do not want to have children'.
I could easily understand such a choice for small aged women, lets say 18-20. But when I see such options in older women, 24, 26, 28 etc, I try to understand them but I am not really sure about the motivation of such decision.

I do not know polish women and I am not even saying that every people should bring children to the world! If somebody is not ready for such a change in his/her life, it is better not to do it at all. It is a very serious topic to decide about it without thought.

I also know that some things are about the way somebody(polish woman) wants her life to be. It is about the goals of life, or traumatic experiences, or other experiences that make somebody to be negative about it. I don't think that if somebody that do not want to have children is less responsible than somebody that do so. It is a topic of conscious choice and maturity. Somebody would like to have long term relationship and even family, without children. It is a choice that is personal and respectable.

So, from your experience, can you please help me understand the mind of polish women that do not have and dont want to have children?

I wait your opinions about it.

I wait your opinions about it.

Both the culture, as well as the experiences a woman has in her youth influence her position towards children and having her own family.

I dare to say Polish women are more family-oriented than their more Western counterparts.

I dont know many women who would not want to have children, in fact I don't know any. And if some end up without having them it is usually not because they don't want, it's just because it happened that they did not meet a proper partner to do it with.

When these women meet the right partner, many of them will change their minds.

Give it up, boy. You will never understand them. Men will never understand them, because they don't think logically.

They say that out of every hundred women there are about fifteen women who don't like sex at all, and about ten women who want a career instead of children. (Regardless of nationality.) So what do the girls have to say about that?

Just coz u cant understand something it doesnt mean it's illogical :P

Try me. (Meaning you should say something I don't understand.)

career instead of children.

I agree with this part and would add a higher percentage would prefer to be in a steady career before kids (good thing IMHO).

Does it mean you are one of those unlucky guys who got as a girlfriend one from those 15 ones? lol

about ten women who want a career instead of children.

If they could have both they would, i suppose. I guess there arent really many women who would really decide to be childless, for some it's not a priority and it loses with the need of self fulfilling in job, career etc. but in most cases it's coz they cant have both.

Try me. (Meaning you should say something I don't understand.)

That's just arrogant to say that:P typical man pfffft

Some ''surveys'' you can find on the Dutch homepage of MSN.

I think it's a good thing too, but I do think women should come out of their traditional role-pattern. I mean, most men do not expect their potential partners to be higher qualified or more succesful either. Women tend to look for someone stronger than themselves. I think they should open their eyes to new possibilities. (No offense!)

Sandwich please;)

Depends on who's asking.

Do you want to get inside Polish women's mind?
Wow...

So:
one reason of many, many others: a thought that men run away when hearing from his partner/wife/ "I want a baby"

simple answer, but very true imo

Lol, I'll not continue down that line...does it come with cheese though? :)

Depends on who's asking.

Hehe

but I do think women should come out of their traditional role-pattern.

That's one difference in our modern lives, that roles in a traditional family unit are changing, even our "gender" roles are changing, slowly but still changing. I don't think its a bad thing but traditions have been lost. Guess we will have to wait for 50years to see what benefits come out of this.

I'd say that many Polish women do indeed want to have children. Those that don't likely fear commitment or circumstances don't permit it. There can be a host of reasons. Still, I admire those that take the plunge and increase the number of young people here. There are too many old foglets. Not on the scale of Japan, no, but heading in that direction :(

No, but I'm happy to tell you I'm unlucky in a different way.

;)

Translation: Is this guy single?

If they could have both they would, i suppose. I guess there arent really many women who would really decide to be childless, for some it's not a priority and it loses with the need of self fulfilling in job, career etc. but in most cases it's coz they cant have both.

That desire never disappears if it was there. I've known a few women who seemed a bit sad about not having children in the later days of their in life. After fourty it may become harder to find a suitable partner, or to have children.

Translation: I want to have both.

That's just arrogant to say that:P typical man pfffft

Who? Me? Nah, just trying to flame you girls into shedding some light on some of the biggest mysteries in life!

;)

Translation: I can't argue with that.

one reason of many, many others: a thought that men run away when hearing from his partner/wife/ "I want a baby"

You know Noreen, I can't speak on behalf of all the guys, but when guys are young they want to play around. They want to have adventure. I personally think that it's best for most guys to let them fullfil their desires, before you ask them to commit themselves to a life sentence. Same goes for girls I think? I mean, let's be honest, most girls aren't too serious about it when they're eightteen either?

;)

Yes, bring on the tomatoes!

Reason number to:
grandmothers are just waiting for talking care of their gransons and grandaughters, so being under pressure of older generation causes an objection

reason number three (for not having babies):

economically it is very risky

The thing is, it's an integral part of life but the boomerang generation hits people hard. Timing is also key. Many trick themselves into believing that they are overly busy and that's the fault of this so-called rat race. I really like my wife's bro's wife for her commitment to her kid that I saw today. He is developing well and I'd happily help out that process if the need arose. To hell with finance being a problem.

It is changing yes, women work and take care of babies etc but i would like to see more men staying at home when the baby is born for instance and a woman working. I dont know any case when it would happen. If there were such cases i could honestly say that roles are really changing.

does it come with cheese though? :)

Yes, cheddar if u like :P

I think some guys are trying to adapt, but I think women need a bit longer because they're usually a bit sensitive to what other women will think of them. (Status.) And before you girls throw your tomatoes at me, am I really wrong?

grandmothers are just waiting for talking care of their gransons and grandaughters, so being under pressure of older generation causes an objection

I recoqnize that one. (See? We're not so different!)

Yes, but this isn't really a woman's argument, because it's equally risky for the man in this current climate.

Isn't this a rhetorical question? Not at all, I really wouldn't be so silly as to call your minds illogical. It's pretty logical, but I do think the circumstances are changing and demand a bit of new logic?

At least you can chose, and check the girl out if she is one from the 15 before any commitment :p

I'll give you a hint: Multiple choice is too complicated for me. I'd rather let someone else choose!

don't have because they won't think about it until they find 'the one'
dont want to have - I suspect some of them may have children already and just 'omit' this fact at this early stage

Could also be that they have, they chose an option 'don't want to have' (which is true) but they omit for a security reason....internet is full of creepy crawlies who look for single mothers

What circumstances are changing? i think u are using different logic now which is unknown for my specie :P

Yes, u are a man - u go to the shop to buy one thing and u do it.

Yes, u are a man - u go to the shop to buy one thing and u do it.

I'm afraid I'm the type of guy who goes to the shop without a shopping list, forgets what it was that he wanted to buy because he was daydreaming again, and buys some other random stuff, just to find out he misses the things that he really needed when he finally gets home!

I m even worse - if i go shopping when hungry then i buy lots of unnecessary things so i m trying to do shopping after eating but then i dont buy almost anything coz the food isnt nice then so when i m hungry i dont have anything to eat then i go shopping... vicious circle :S

Single mothers are easier to abuse than childless single women? I dont get it. Or you mean the women are not the person who they are interested in, they are interested in their babies? :S
