Kiss on the eyes - Polish girl's way of being affectionate?

I've been dating a lovely Polish girl for a few months now and things are going well, she constantly tells me she likes me and always kisses me on my eyelids :) and now she has me doing it to her too, not somthing I've been accustomed to with other girls, is this a common thing which only Polish girls do or am I just pointing out one girls way of being affectionate?

Kissing just under the eyes is not rare in Poland, can't say I've heard of or experience eyelid kissing. Sounds freekay.

Don't know if it's a Polish thing or not (born in Poland but moved to Sweden as a child) but when I was a kid my mamusia always kissed me (and my sister) on my closed eyelids first and then on my forehead after she'd read us a bed-time story. The kiss on the eyelids was to help us fall asleep and on the forehead so we'd have pretty dreams. It worked for us. :)

When I grew up I adopted this very tradition with every girlfriend I've ever kissed. Not on a first date of course but once we were very comfortable with each other. I've never heard a single complaint and in fact my now ex-wife absolutely adored this bed-time tradition. :))

..and before you wonder, no, that's not why she's now my ex.

i may be warming to it too, at first it was a little wierd :)

Well assuming that very Polish girl behaves in the same way, and every Polish girls is alike than it is-do you think that is really possible?

unless every Polish parent has kissed their daughters on the eyelids and they all grew up doing the same to their partners and/or children, wont it become common thing (eventually) just like a kiss on the cheek or forehead :D

I think eyelids might be the cleanest spots on persons head, so if you GOT to kiss somewhere..

So long as you both like it, that's what matters. But I can't say it is a common thing in Poland, mind you it sounds as though it might catch on.
