I have been friends on Facebook with a polish girl for over a year now. No romance online or anything, just got on as friends and had very similar humour. I'm 36 Agnieszka is 37. She lives in Germany now as a horse trainer so has quite a good job and gets to travel around europe to different horse racing events. Anyway, she came over 2 weeks ago, we met and spent the weekend together and after a really fun time day and night ;-P I told her before she left that I think I love her and just needed to tell her before she went.

As soon as she got back she was telling me the same and we now feel that we are in love. She's coming over again next weekend and we will see how it goes. The problem is the distance. How do you keep a relationship going from overseas? Who should move where? When should one of us move? I know it's very early days but when you only get 40 hours with someone you love every 3-6 weeks then something drastic has to happen doesn't it? Neither of us have felt like this about anyone before and the distance is killing us :-(

She's back in 8 days :-D

Your heart must be strong. Strong like an otter.

No, seriously. Long-distance relationships suck. They survive on constant contact (chatting online always, texts, etc.) Have a goal to work towards (i.e. I will move to Germany in X amount of time after I finish Y. Or, she says "Once I train all my horses, I will come back to you.) Otherwise, start trying to hit some other tail.

Cool story, bro.

Germany and the UK is not that far away, so hold your horses, develop the relationship first and then worry about it.

A lot of people fail at keeping a long distance realtionship for a long time. But there are factors which help to maintainin a long distance relationship and those couples already have a well developed relationship, they know eachother enough to trust one another.

Trust for one thing. If he knows his girlfriend well and that she loves him, than he should be able to trust her.

Being positive, honest, and trusting eachother that the actions you make are for good intentions and not to make things worse between two.

how well people can know each other while living so far away with no eye-to-eye contact?

Hide sunglasses smewhere he would never dare to look, then have some real time for eye to eye bonding. :-)

Well, if eyes are the mirror of the soul, then I guess I should welcome her to hell if she wants to gaze into mine.
