Hi, I am new to this forum. Hello :D

I live in Warsaw since 2009.
I am a bisexual woman (but somewhat more attracted to women if this makes any sense) and I was just curious if there were many other bisexuals and/or lesbians in Warsaw.

Everybody I got to know and befriended in Warsaw is heterosexuals, except a small number of them (less than 10).

In my university, out of some hundreds of people, I only know half-a-dozen homosexual students. (mainly guys)

Comparing it to where I used to live in the past (London), it seems rather harder for me to find a girlfriend.

I know there was this Europride in Warsaw last summer, so I thought about going there but unfortunately I was not in Warsaw by then...

Looking forward to hearing from you :) Many thanks for reading!

Yes there are some, but not as many as guys and they tend to be slightly more reserved too. Try the crepe place, Basztylia, on Mokotowska for a quiet drink or try Rasko for a club night (especially at the weeekend there are plenty of girls in there).

Rasko closed last week, due to problems with the new premises. Galeria at Hala Mirowska is a good bet, as is the women only bar near Fort Mokotow. Toro on (I think) Thursdays might be worth visiting.

Thank you both Harry and Jonni! :D

I'll take a look at Bastylia, Galeria at HM and Toro(even though I am clueless as to where it is located).

That is a pity! Any news about when or where it might be reopening?

I've never seen many women down there, although that said I've only been a a couple of times since they remodeled the place, I really do need to get back in the habit of stopping off there for an afterwork drink.

Toro(even though I am clueless as to where it is located).

It's at the very bottom of Marszalkowska, number 3/5, entrance through a courtyard off ul. Zoli. Discotheques aren't my cup of tea, but they have a lounge bar downstairs (might be men only, not sure) and upstairs there are certainly plenty of Women on Thursdays.

Because Rasko closed (suddenly, but they say temporarily) and was very popular with lesbians, it may mean there will be more women in the other places like Toro and Galeria. If you're at Bastylia when any of the owners are there, they should know where's good at the moment.

Here's the website for Toro: http://www.toro.waw.pl/

I just found out that a lot of the Rasko clientele now go to a place called City, at al. Jana Pawla 43a. It has one of the same owners as Rasko and is probably the best place right now if you want to meet lesbians. It's just north of the tram stop at Kino Femina, between the junctions of Jana Pawla with Nowolipie and Nowolipka.

So thank you ever so much Jonni!
I never expected to get so much information all at once! :D

This place City on al. Jana Pawła II doesn't seem to have a website, so probably I will just have to see it all for myself.

Really, it didn't make any sense here at all.
She says she is a bisexual woman, but, more attracted to woman and she adds, if this makes any sense. Does this mean she is a young girl, who gets money from man and spend it with her girl friends in bars? If so, then, it makes a sense. I thought she was sarcastic. Anyway, everybody knows entertainment places like bars, etc are more attractive places than work places.

No. I do understand that the concept must be very very difficult for you to get your head around, but not all men are like you: we don't have to pay women for sex.

Am not a handsome man. They all expect me to pay. When they see I have no money, they don't even talk.

BTW, I just heard from a friend who went there at the weekend, that City Bar on Jana Pawla isn't very good. Still waiting for a drinks licence. Maybe it'll improve, or upstairs in Toro is a better bet for now.

I think that he must be confused: I was there twice last week and not only had alcohol (which they advertise on their website) but a fairly good time too. It's not exactly big but it is pretty friendly, and it has two types of unpasteurised local beer on tap for 7zl a half litre.

I was talking to a couple of lesbians at City who said that Toro is about as friendly to girls as Utopia used to be!

Maybe he was just grumbling about it, and in fact it's worth a visit.

In just late April, unfortunately. I should be there now, but have stuff to do here before going to the Gulf of Mexico oil field. Then direct to Norway, by ship. ;-)
