Dump her! ...unless you want to continue to be trained by her juvenile selfishness.

Gratitude is often not a strong suit. Simply tell her to get cracking with her new habit of paying and be there only when times get tough for her through no fault of her own. Respect is earned and you are doing her a disservice by not encouraging her to be a responsible adult. Everyone needs some set-up capital but handouts are for the meek.

I don't think complaining on the internet forum is going to do the trick. Talking to her directly might.

My Polish friend with with Polish wife has the same problem. They've been married for years he pays for everything her money all goes into her separate bank account.

Maybe she is saving the money so she can repay you with an all expense paid trip to Blackpool, or a beer fridge stocked with your favourite brew, for your own personal use...

You had the thread about your gf's mother calling her a prostitute, didn't you?
Sorry to say, Once you've set the stage with you in the role of sugar-daddy, you will never be anything else to her.

Maybe you should do something about it? Dont play your whole life with her rules. Its your life.

Take a serious discussion with her, and show that you demand a change if you are going to continue the relationship.

If she doesnt change, you should leave her for sure. That might lead to a change.

Although I can't sympathise fully with the OP (do what you've always done and you'll get what you've always got idea), I can see where he is coming from. I'm sure there are plenty of examples of this as I've heard and experienced first-hand accounts of Polish women saying 'mam głęboko w dupie' about bill payments before going off to the shops to buy the latest cosmetics. I would be far more understanding in cultures where there was an imbalance in the job market whereby men were preferred and women lost out as a result. However, Polish women have decent earning potential if they put their minds to the kind of job that could bring that about.

To the OP, does this girl really mean that much to you? I had to translate a mediation dispute and the guy realised his blindness before it was all too late. Do you want to go down the same road?

Don't couples in Sweden split bills and even dinner checks 50/50?

POLISH GIRLFRIEND WONT PAY HER WAY

Practically all your posts on PF are to complain about your Polish gf. Don't you ever have anything positive to say about her? After 4 yrs together, you'd pretty much know how things are between the two of you. Stop whining or just move on!

Not really. But the woman pays for a dinner as well from time to time. But it is usually still the man who pays on dates etc.

Good. Beats leeching off the guy all the time.

Do you know how much drinks in Sweden cost?I dated once two swedish girls and had to pay 50 euro for four of their cocktails.

What gets me is paying for meals, holidays, shopping, bills (not to mention a full apartment renovation) and my own expenses (ZUS, tax, internet and accountant) yet my wife still has no money just 2 weeks after getting her pay packet (she's a manageress). We have worked on this and she has been able to pay for more 'communal' things. OP, you have to talk, otherwise you will blindly fumble your way into bankruptcy and that's a blunder!

OP, remove the funds and she'll soon get the message. People do funny things when short of money. She clearly doesn't appreciate your present gifts. Why be taken for granted?

Many Russian girls marry just for money, he can be old but if he's rich he has her. That's just about any girl from a poorer country I guess they never wanna go through that again.

shopping

I think that a woman's illness. The amount of money I've seen girls spend on clothes was astounding. What do you need 40 pairs of shoes for? after the season is over she'll never wear them again because they'll be out of style. I know a few who have 10 or 20K credit card bills just from clothes shopping.

It's quite frightening how they burn holes in pockets. I don't think a guy is being loving by shelling out beyond what practicality says a woman should have. Encouraging boredom is hardly a virtue! There might be short-term gratitude but there is long-term bank balance damage.
