A father fighting a custody battle sent a photograph of his former wife semi-naked with her new lesbian lover to her parents, a court heard.
Tomasz Dyl, 35, was feuding with Olga Kunka-Dyl over access to their two fostered children after they broke up.
The University of Cambridge scientist told magistrates he was trying to convince his former parents-in-law that he had not run off with another woman.
He emailed them the picture to demonstrate that it was their daughter’s new relationship with a woman that had ended their marriage instead.
The email, which was also sent to Mrs Kunka-Dyl, was accompanied with a message saying: “Before you try ruining my good name, please think if it is worth it … show this to your family and neighbours.”
His former wife’s family were so distressed by the image that they have since been diagnosed with health problems, a victim impact statement read to the court said.
Polish-born Dyl also bombarded her with a string of abusive telephone calls and text messages, Cambridge Magistrates’ Court was told.
Mrs Kunka-Dyl contacted police and he was arrested on suspicion of breaching a non-molestation order prohibiting him from making contact with her or her family.
