think you've been severly burned and now put all of us in the same basket

i was talking about Polish men in UK, and i did say it was NOT all of them. i'm yet to meet a Polish guy in UK who has no issues and who's just a normal chap with no agenda, making a living and not sounding like a smug know-it-all twit. this Polish guy who is married to one of my work colleagues was doing my head in today, being such an expert in fields ranging from English language to cotraception. i hardly know the guy, he was just coming up with all those random statements out of the blue as if he was trying to show off but damn it was one fail after another. and it was all me me me. why can't they just be themselves without this smug and arrogance, i'm sure on the inside guys like him are really nice men, there is no need for this!! i have never been in a serious relationship with a Polish guy, this front they put on and how they always make fools out of themselves really put me off. and i think i'm hooked on British accents, Wulkan and his mates can try theirs for me anytime, i'm sure it'd be a good laugh ;).

skysoulmate:
Why did you move from Poland?

i did not see a future for myself out there, plus i was falling out with my parents way too much. moving was the best thing i ever did, i've never been happier and as a family we get on so much better now that we're miles apart and only see each other few times a year ha ha...

I'm a villager living in a big, polluted city. And I miss my village family house at the river with proper yard and even a well :) And though some of my neighbours are indeed
SouthMancPolak:
backward, and like something from a previous century, the pros of living in the village outweigh the cons.

yes definitely, there's a well in my folks yard too, and the dogs and cats i miss them too, funny how they still recognise me when i come to visit :). i don't like the noise, crowds and traffic of a big city, Salisbury isn't that big and i live in the quiet bit with a few parks just a short walk from my flat. still, not the same as the country!

Polish city boys who think they are better than everyone else who is not from a city

No idea if i'm better than you, i'm definitely smarter than you though which must count for something thats not the point though.

JustysiaS:
yet still they earn more than you, washing the dishes or sweeping the streets of UK for example ;).

Even if you would have a management job in UK (which you dont) you wouldnt be earning more than me but thats beside the point, the point is our country regurgitated social dregs like you who could not make it in polish reality which is admittedly much harsher, the end result is that many young polish people in UK are bloody focktards.
JustysiaS:
Poland to get a cleaning or hotel job you have to be university educated and fluent in foreign languages, uni graduates struggle for work too. i really don't see the point.

Last i checked you didnt need any experience or special skills for such jobs even in Poland.

I've been to London only a few months and met dozens of great Poles both men and women so this statement proves it, you've got issues i have no idea what are they but i'm willing to bet someone ditched you in Poland.

Epic sized issues. It reminds me of this girl from Siemianowice i once knew, she was from a poor family went on Erasmus to UK, found herself a nice juicy Brit got pregnant and is peachy.

Met her on a party a few weeks back, she was visting Poland, she was speaking english to Poles in Poland with stuff like "back home in England we: insert retarded patronizing statement.

After spreading her legs to a Brit and staying in UK for a few years she suddenly becomes more british than tea and crumpets, you remind me of her.

No they'll call her Southern Belle and will love her for it... A Polish Southern Belle, are you kidding me, that's the best of both worlds!!! ;)

Sokrates - how about y'all sign a peace treaty? Obviously you two will never agree on this issue.

I'm proposing a detente where all Polish males currently in the UK remain there (unless they want to go back to Poland) while all Polish ladies in the UK (ALL the single ones) promptly emigrate to the US.

Would my solution ease the tensions and the strained relations between you two? ;)

In my experience, Polish men are definitely not plain. They are fun to be around with, they can be very sweet, loving, caring, romantic... ahhh maybe I just got lucky ;)

If all you foreign girls are still merely attracted to Polish guys, please read their comments above to see just how charming they are. That's how they get after the initial infatuation :). Maybe there are a few sweet villagers left but once they move abroad they think they are on top of the game and turn into arrogant pr*cks. Very sad.

You're sort of a “virtual friend” to me, so I'm not thinking of you as a girl or a lady,,, I’ve just read what you wrote… I know that Sokrates sounds like a total as$ but i think i can explain.
The point I'm trying to make is that your man can be charming and romantic but is he going to take care of you when you need it the most? Can you trust him with your bank account?
Is he responsible, strong, and reliable? Most Polish guys are. See, you have to develop these kinds of skills as a guy in Poland otherwise you won't survive there long.

See Sokrates is probably 12 or he's playing a tough guy but the truth is that People in Poland are well educated, resourceful and with a good understanding of what honorable means.

Most Polish girls/women are the same so you're either young like Socrates or just simply blond for not being able distinguish the difference.

I know the last sentence was mean but i can help it, i was thought to be mean to appear tough. See, girls like guys that are respected by other guys. The easiest way to gain respect among guys is to be mean.
As i said somewhere here before guys are very basic.

It's not just about being mean. It's the same story with guys from "cities" (and Poland has what, like a city and a half total? lol) picking on guys from "villages," or rich ones picking on poorer ones, or tall ones picking on short ones, or whatever else they can find to be a "notch above" others (mainly in their own mind) and make a good impression on the girls.

And it's not that men in the UK are any different, they just have different criteria on how to judge themselves successful and respectable than being from a city or from a village.

I do know of some types here that could easily be romantic. The kind that could be quiet and look into their partners eyes over a candlelit dinner. The kind that could enjoy a soppy movie with his missus.

However, I think that there is a lot of battling going on. Many Poles are romantic in the sense of having hazy ideals more than being physically intimate and close. It just depends, though. You have to get at their heart.

Sokrates

you really REALLY think that your pathetic judgements about me are true and seriously, you can think and type all you want because you know nothing and you're just trying to be hurtful. it's not working and if you say you're so smart (smarter than me cos A* you're from a city B* you live in Poland and i moved cos i "couldn't make it there") surely you can figure out that with my English i wouldn't be scrubbing toilets or making salads for a living.

Havok:

the difference between what? what difference? you just said they're all the same so this sentence makes no sense. not everyone is the same, there are traits people may have in common but not personalities or appearances. oh and a nice comment about blondes there, now you're gonna say all blondes are the same too? lol

Havok:

i don't give a flying f*ck what other men think about the guy i'm interested in, that's just stupid. what matters is what i think about him. you can do your 'ooga booga me mean me strong' all day, you cavemen.

Havok:

yes i can trust him because if i couldn't he's not the man for me, and yes he takes care of me like a decent man should

it's a very unattractive trait in a man to belittle everyone in order to make themselves look better. this Polish guy at work who would not leave me alone kept saying i should get myself a proper man, not and English fanny. comes from a guy who's a divorced father of one with a drinking problem and a load of debts, yeahhhh that's a proper man. he's only ever mean and smug when nobody's around, at work and outside of it he's kissing everyone's ass so they like him.

Sokrates:

i never tried to 'make it' there for your information, i finished school, packed my bags and left and looking at the situation there, with the situation in UK not being exactly rosey either, i would never go back permamently despite being offered a few jobs there. it's good to visit cos of the family but i prefer not to participate in the rat race and this mindless social status bickering that seem to be the inevitable parts of living in Poland.

Sokrates:

my only issues are too much stress and people like you with their inflated egos. i never had a relationship with a Polish guy, trust me. i'd rather jump off a cliff.

i doubt it :) everytime i say something negative about Polish men, even if it's just a joke, he appears and tries to upset me. do you realise how much money i have already spent on sessions with my shrink to get rid of all my issues caused by him? i think i'm mentally scarred forever ;). but thank you for trying ;)

I'd seen several shrinks when healing from my divorce but never thought of seeing one due to the "PF-syndrome". ;)

- So what's bothering you dear?

- Well, I can't stand Sokrates and It'sallaboutme pisses me off from time to time....

- Huh??

You gotta admit that would be funny. :)

Most Polish guys i know act like they always know it all, put this irritating voice on when they are talking to women as if it was to show them they are smarter, talk down to women in general, they're full of unfunny jokes, they find it impossible to admit to any mistakes or admit the woman is right. They're only tough guys when they're p*ssed up. And they try to cover up their lack of hygiene/alcohol problems with a larger than usual amount of cheap aftershave or deodorant. They want their girlfriend to be just like their mommy and once you become an item they let themselves go and start dressing like their senile uncle, lovin the high waisted trousers and socks with sandals :D. So girls, if you like men with poor English and poor nearly everything else, a Polish man is your man! :D :D

Hahaha funny but totally not true.. I am Polish and am totally not like what you have stated above, except I do know it all about Polish women, beautiful & intelligent!
PS: I don't drink or smoke.

Hahahaha Totally true. They also take things apart and never put them back together in the same order. They are two faced, they go to church but then hit, swear, drink and don't follow the catholic belief. They think women are good for cooking only, they think women are bad drivers, that they don't know anything about car repairs, don't know anything about construction, Polish men think they are better than women in everything. They have bad tempers, get mad easily and blame the woman for everything. Plus they are the ugliest men on Earth.
But you are an exception, and hope you find a woman- if you don't already have one, who appreciates you for being who you are.:}

I was born in United States, though I hope to visit Poland in the future. I have noticed the temper in men that are from Poland who arrive in the U.S. as exchange students. I have no reason to compare myself to a woman. I guess it's the upbringing in general of the Polish male that is in question. Plus, I've witnessed men with all of the traits listed above who are not Polish, but German, Irish, etc....again experience always will make the man.

my friends often ask me for advice cos of my brutal honesty. if i ever had a shrink i'd make him need a shrink after a few sessions. do you think the pf-syndrome is the newest mental disability around? ;) just add it to the list! ;. divorces are always sad. have you ever thought that the money spent on therapy to heal the emotional pain would've beeen better spent if you just hired a hitman ;D

lol you left poland because you are not very smart. I bet you didn't do well in middle/high school and didn't get good grades to get into day time university. Private/evening unis were too expensive therefore you left for the UK to work manual labour which pays much better than in PL.
You'll do fine in britain though. I bet you'll find (if u haven't already) a british sucker who will marry you and you won't have to worry about your future.
Good luck to you though. I'm glad i was never (and never will be) in a similar situation.

quite the contrary i had very good grades at school and i could've gone to uni daytime as i passed the exams but i'd be stuck there for years without a proper job or income and i'm not the type to sponge off my folks in my adulthood. i wouldn't work in macdonalds either to make ends meet. evening classes are a rip off and employers look differently at people who didn't do daytime university, everybody knows that. i'm glad to be out of that country and away from the miserable people, prefer the smiley cheesey Britain even if the smiles are a bit fake. i don't do physical labour i'm a girl you muppet, i have a cosy job with a steady decent income, i earn more than univesity graduates in Poland and i don't need a piece of paper to validate my self worth. and i still think Polish men suck big time :).

Exactly, tell it like it is, Justy :) Some of the people here think 3000PLN gross is a good salary. Romantic? Maybe some but it tends to be two people walking, both looking in opposite directions, joined only by their hands ;)

I've dated American men all my life and am currently dating my first Polish man. He was born in the US but raised Polish and it's an ABSOLUTE difference. I regret not dating Polish men earlier and not giving them a chance. Of course, there is a batch of Polish men that need to g their asses kicked into shape but most of them have been formed wonderfully by their parents into being complete gentlemen and having the biggest hearts.
