Do Polish Women age well?

From the outset i'm not trying to have a cheap dig, but i am just curious if anyone else has reflected on the same.

Having spent many hours sitting on Stary Rynek in Poznan sipping a cool piwo and reflecting on the many women passing by i came to the conclusion that while there were an infinite number of stunning looking young women, many of the older variety i.e. 40+ weren't so pleasing on the eye, so ipso facto i realised that Polish women must not age very well.

Now i'm married to a beautiful woman and thankfully have all that love stuff to make me blind (which is great in reverse too as my waistband expands), but it strikes me that it must be the harshest of all falls to be once so admired but eventually glanced over.

By the by i know in general a lot of women don't age well, but as i think Poland has more exceptional beauties per square inch than any other country then its just a more dramatic occurence.

Here is the way i see it,
I am from Ireland too.
Ireland is very humid because of the water and this acts as a natural moisturiser for people's skin (a killer for arthritics).
Here in Poland it is a much dryer climate and this dries the skin and makes older people look well drier.

Sure it takes 3 hours for clothes to dry here and it takes 3 days back in Ireland.

Based upon a statistically insignifcant sample (i.e. one) they age very, very well.

But to take SeanBM's point, the sample has been out of PL for many years and subject to much humidity...

I must say I noticed this myself. I had come to the conclusion that either women don't age well here...or they age so well that they all still look like they are in their 20s.

However you don't see all that many milfs over here...i am not complaining...just an observation.

I'll add my observations as well from living in a village in Poland for over 6 years. I also conclude that Polish women 40 years or older do not age well at all. Most here are terribly overweight with poor facial complexions. Many do smoke, so that is a "why" factor to consider. Should I mention some unpleasing hair styles and hair color?

That said, the younger Polish women seem prettier than most of their European counterparts, like models from heaven. Again, many of them do smoke. That's too bad.

I often think, what eradicates their former beauty so quickly? Smoking, bad diet, lack of excercise, drinking, hormones, stress, other?

Hopefully, an honest opinion doesn't offend anyone.

I am going out on a total guess here and am probably totally wrong but I think there could be a cultural thing in it as well.

Polish women seem to marry a lot younger than most girls I know back home, and with there being a strong religious feeling in the country divorce would be a no-no i am guessing. So could this lead to women sort of letting themselves go after marrying and having kids? Also on the flip side, if women are not married by 40+ (my flatmate is only 30 and is moaning that she will never find a husband at her age) maybe they give up unto a life of spinsterdom.

That's my 3 cents.

Not at all I am inclined to agree that (more) men do look better as they age than women - this could be due to the fact that their hormones do not decrease as much as womens do, womens bodies (inner workings) start to change considerably in their 40s.

Also maybe Polish women have not yet been brainwashed into wearing a 40spf moisturiser for the last 20 years like we have in the UK.

What constitutes "aging well?", its in the genes I don't thing it applies to nationalities. I think lifestyle and weather conditions are also factors as if sadly wealth. Wealthy people "age better" because they can afford better health care.

Who cares anyway, we men may fall in lust with looks, but you can only love the person.

Kylie Minogue is barely brushing 40 and Angelina Jolie is 33. I don't think this constitutes quite aged enough to have either aged well or not to have done so.

btw, maybe those 40 year women were really 60 or 70? Did you ask their age?

My friends and I know the ages of the women in this village very well. What do you expect when the population is under 2,000 people? :-)


An excellent example of 'aging well' is the French actress, Juliette Binoche, born in March, 1964 (44 years old). A note of interest is she is half French / Polish descent.

I dont get it how you people think.. if you love someone , its love, theres not one barrier that should keep you from loving that same person whether they get old or not.. love is unconditional... it comes from two people sharing the same values, the same feelings, the same bond.. when your sick take care of each other, when you lose a close family member to comfort each other..

and when you get this, its more then how well you age.. do you think your perfect?

we could ask the same questions..

like, how well do british men or irish men age?
do the continuously fart after every meal and or beer? do we have to put up with all the disgusting things men do , do their bellys fall over their belt after 40? should we take on a young stud who has ripples of muscles or keep the man we married because hes the one we love?

why would you worry about growing old with someone? do you think your appearance will stay the same? have you alone discovered the fountain of youth while all Polish women age?

I know your not trying to be mean, but the question in itself is very selfish to me, as you married your love to grow old with and if your going to pick out imperfections , you should prob just get divorced now as it seems no one is capable of staying young and vibrant on the outside, maybe on the inside, but stress, environment and pollution etc have the human race doomed, we do what we can to keep active and thats all you should expect my friend!

You're right Patricia.
I've noticed immature people look at what the person looks like on the outside, while the mature ones see the beauty from within that person.
And if a person is always mean, crabby and complaining you will be able to see it on the ouside, in the facial features, in their smile (if they ever do).

The most important thing is to like the personality of your partner.

If you find them ugly it won't work BUT the most beautiful woman on earth would soon become annoying if her personality was not nice.

I did actually say that my love was blind i.e. that looks are not an issue for me with my wife as shes so much more than that and also i made the point that thankfully, with me not being perfect (expanding waistband) that her love is blind too - well not completely as i get plenty of demands about going on a diet and were i too suggest beauty treatments...well thats for another day )

It was merely an anthropological view about Polish women, i've had plenty of conversations elsewhere about the lack of pretty women in Ireland too, but i don't see here any Polish girl jumping to the defence of Irish or British women when it is suggested that Polish women are far better looking - if birthright doesnt come into it )

Regardless it was only an observation and thankfully being an absolutely typical narrow minded man i will still be enjoying the young stunning views as much when i am 70 as i do now )

The stunning milfs who have been named here are all actresses.

Do you know any stunning women in their 40/50's that have been working their whole life in a factory? Well there weren't many business women in communist times around here.
