I'm sure there are good Kurdish men. But there might be people in his family which have values that is going to give you much trouble in life. Woman are often treated in a way that we in the Western world would never accept.

There are many immigrants that come to Sweden and behave like assh*les. They should be sent back with the first flight, and never be able to show their ugly faces in Sweden again. But there are also immigrants that come and contribute to the society.

my experience of kurdish men is that they are all users. They are really vain as well and if they can get with a prettier girl they will dump you like that and move on. I know of Polish girls who act like complete sluts with them and as soon as the guy finishes with them they then start seeing another kurd while the english girls look on thinking it is so funny becus they wont touch them.

If you go to nightclubs in Peterborough some of them are full of drunk Polish girls and all the kurds are trying to get with them it makes me ashamed to be Polish

An opinion,range of opinions were asked for,some of the negative statements can and should be ignored as they are made by the usual suspects,people who have probably never met a Kurd in their lives but it is enough that they are brown to hate them...

Sorry but that laws are not applied in Turkey(no need to 3 witness or anything). Turkey is a modern country and modern laws applied. Yes we have some problems from past but still overall crime rate is much lower than many other countries. You should visit Turkey to overcome this funny prejudices.

No,I know,Turkey has a long tradition of secular policies thanks to Ataturk .But,if the Kurds are so progresive and enlightened why is the Turkish army in a perpetual state of war in parts of anatolia?

Here we are talking about predominantly Iraqi Kurds and kurds from the wild mountain regions. You would have to be lying to claim there are no problems there memphis,it would be like me saying that Northern Ireland has lived in peace and harmony for the last 40 years....

And if this was "real life" that is exactlly what I would do,as I have done already .But what was called for was a general assesment of a polish girl in the UKs situation with an unknown Kurd,who,if she had no suspisions or doubts would not have even been a subject for discusion on here would it.

Hinterland, I am Turkish, information that Shelley has provided is unfortunately true. It's education problem and it's slowly changing but it's still better to be cautious.

Also your boyfriend may be different from the above examples. Try to understand what he likes on you and if he is serious about this relationship. Try to test him. His education and behaviours should give you an idea. And you must be cautious before fully trust him.

Australians (Anzaks) have more reputation here about Canakkale War. I know there were also some British People but I didn't know the ratio was around fifty percent.

Dont quote me on that :) ww1 isnt my forte :),But certainly British suffering has been written out of the popular memory. Maybe because this was Australias first baptism of fire. And maybe because Mel Gibson hasnt been in a film showing droves of british soldiers being killed by Turkish machine guns...( we had Del Boy..)Anyhow,all very sad,no one had a nice time in that nasty sideshow.
