REPREZENTACYJNY -- the hardest word to translate

REPREZENTACYJNY is probably the most difficult word to translate into English. We can have:
fundsuz reprezentacyny, salon reprezentacyjny, reprezentacyjna orkiestra Wojska Polskiego, przedsięwzięcia reprezentacyjne and many more.
Some examples: Ten lokal jest mało reprezentacyjny... Nasza firma wydaje za dużo na reprezentację
Surely there is no one English word that would fit every case. Any ideas?

I'm afraid the online dictioanry is wrong. Ouutdoorsy has to do with the great outdoors, things having to do with camping, living in the rough and rural pursuits.
Quite the opposite of reprezentacyjny which suggests ceremonial elegance, class, luxury, sophistication, etc. Fro intance mundur reprezentacyjny means parade dress (specfial uniforms for ceremonial occasions).

Are you writing a POL-ENG dictionary or what?

This is so common, really only a part of one langauge's linguistic thesaurus is easy to translate, most of the words depend heavily on context. Nothing new for people who do translations for living :)

I like that one because it comes up with all kinds of odd terms and expressions that seem quite meaningless. Sometimes it's helpful, but often not. I don't know and haven't bothered to find out who wrote it.

A gate or place of departure, it is a totally different word with a different meaning to boot!

POLONIUS IS STRETCHING IT WITH THIS ONE.. QUIT MAKING IT HARD FOR THOSE WHO ARE TRYING TO LEARN. YOU'D NEVER SAY SOME OF THE THINGS YOU SEEM TO ATTACH THIS WORD TO AND YOU KNOW IT.. YOU'D DEFINITELY USE OTHER TERMS TO GET ACROSS. SOME OF THE CONTEST YOU ARE TRYING TO USE, IS NOT USED BY ANYONE.

WHO THE HELL WOULD SAY MUNDUR REPREZANTACYJNY? HOW ABOUT JUST MUNDUR PARADOWY INSTEAD?
