Hello
I am a freelance journalist writing for UK-based Polish-language paper.
I am writing an article about mixed Polish- British couples living in the UK and how they celebrate Christmas.
I'd be interested to hear how they combine different Christmas customs and traditions.
Thank you,
Anna

annamaria,

I have posted on this subject already. Please, read the Christmas threads.

I don't mind if you send me a PM. Then I will answer your question in full.

I might not be the right candidate though, because we now live in Poland.

Research for article -mixed Polish-British couples

I am looking for mixed couples for an article about love in present-day Europe.
I'd be grateful if you contact me with your stories.

I've submitted it and it will be published. It was about Christmas and how mixed coupled mix different Xmas traditions
This article is for a different magazine and the subject is mixed relationship - how people from different coutries meet, approach romantic relationships, are such relationships different to same-nationality couples etc.

I'm Polish, he WAS American. Didn't work out for me. Different upbringing. Different views on raising children, diffrent interests, different catholic beliefs.
This does not mean such relations don't work, because they can and do. In my instance, I was involved with an uneducated, narrow-minded, over-opinionated, never-travelled, drinking, smoking selfish moron.
If two people love each other and have common interests, then it doesn't matter from which country they come from.

Krysia,

So why did you marry him? I can't believe he was different before marriage?

I was STUPID!!!! STUPID!!!! STUPID!!!!
I only knew him 4 months and my mother decided I will be happy with him, so she made my wedding dress, arranged a talk with the priest, arranged a wedding date, invited all the guests, arranged a reception hall, brides-maids, wedding cake, etc. The whole works.
I wasn't ready for this, but my mother was.

I don't dwell on the past and I don't blame anybody. What happened happened, you learn from it and it only makes you smarter.
And yes, I am EXTREMELY HAPPY with my Polish Fiance, whom I've known since we were tenagers. Little did I know, that we were meant for each other since the very beginning.

Lots of polish girls left poland and marry anybody just for better way of life, then they cry poor...they are still better off because they steal half of partners wealth with divorce..

In my case, he stole half of my wealth. He took my house and most things along with it.
