I'm american and I wear a white gold/sapphire ring on the ring finger on my right hand. I got a few questions about if I was engaged when I was in Poland by family and odd looks when I said no. I didn't realise why until later on a few of us actually had a conversation about where Americans & Poles where their engagement/wedding bands. Until then I didn't realise that other countries might where those rings on a different hand. *lol*
