Quoting: hello
I don't understand some people (especially who claim to be Polish) here. Roman Giertych may have very traditional and conservative values, but that's not the reason why some people try to mock him. The Polish nation likes to mock other people, especially if they are a little different from the crowd. I don't understand that.
I'm sure nowadays Poles would also mock such people like Pilsudski or Sikorski because they don't fit the current "modern life" or stereotypes about a modern life or "freedom." I think soon Poles will miss such political figures when they get tired of populists.
Hello, do you really understand what this guy is like? He was filmed in the polish parliament "Sejm", bored to tears playing a computer game on his mobile phone and generally is thought as a joke because he is so out of touch with the reality of a modern Poland. The trouble is that he wishes to bring up every child as a clone of himself, because he believes that it is the perfect role model of a family. This is terrifying when he has such nationalistic values, which have been drummed into him since he was a child by his father Maciej Giertych and his grandfather Jędrzej Giertych both of who hold extremism and antisemitism values and he wishes to integrate them into Polish society and thank god, they have seen through him and rejected this fool. When you see thousands of teachers and parents marching down the capital’s streets in protest at his policies you know something is wrong, and thank god, he will be out of politics soon.
