Hello to you all!

My name is samuel (shmuel in hebrew) and i'm from Israel.

My interest in polish people colture and language has been started 3 month ago when I meet some young polish and slovak people that came to Israel for summer time.

Also I know a friend from poland that he is a student in a theologycal seminary in poland and spend one year now in Isarael for practice.

Also one girl from that group became my girl friend, but she is going to be marry with someone else now and its a long story...

The thing is that I realy want to learn the polish language, and in Israel ther is just one book for that, not so so good and also very expensive (like 100$). I'll be happy to hear if someone have an idea how can I be learn the language.
I was thinking, may be someone here has an interest in hebrew and may be I can teach him in exchange for lessons in polish.

Or may be there is a polish website can send me books.

By the way, the polish people I meet was so great, and I had such a great experince with them. It realy was one of a life time, and totaly wait for next year.

Another compliment I can give you is that I have two friends told me that they where in poland 2 weeks and was searching by candles a non beautiful girl, and they didnt found any.

dobre noz, sam.

Welcome to the forum, Shmuel.

edit: I just put your name back into Hebrew.
Why not keep it as it is?

Hello Sam. Here's your first Polish lesson:
Dobranoc = Good night
Dobry wieczór = Good evening - the "ó" is pronounced like an "u" and the "cz" is like the "ch" of chocolate but with just the tip of the tongue held against the palate.
I'm closing down for now so goodnight.

Czesc Shmuel!

I would advice you

amazon.com/Yourself-Polish-Complete-Package-Courses/dp/0071431675/ref= pd_bbs_3?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1196122066&sr=8-3]

- Teach Yourself Polish.

Myself, I use "Pools zonder moeite" from 62.193.198.10/index.html - Assimil. That's an excellent method, but unfortunately not available in Hebrew or English.
Powodzenia! And have fun on the forum!

Hi Samuel,
i'm pretty new but I take this opportunity to welcome you here as well!
I recently bought a short book here it is allegro.pl/item273108558_program_pc_audio_kurs_polish_for_foreigners.h tml
it's short but very good to start with imo.
