Saying hello, greeting between Polish people

I have a question.

Do Polish people think it is rude for you to greet them if they are in the middle of something (such as writing something, reading, etc)? Is it polite to first make eye contact then greet, or greet as soon as you see them [even if they haven't seen you]?

I know in some cultures, it is rude to greet someone when the person is busy or doing something.

I don't know, I think it depends on the person and the importance of what they're doing. Some people will get annoyed, some won't be bothered at all. Probably the same as any other European culture. We're not that different!

Ok, so there is no set "courtesy" in Polish for greetings... I know if I come and say hi to my dad if he is like talking to people he'll get upset...
