Searching for Brandys roots

My great-grandmother's name was Helen Brandys. My grandmother told me she was from Czestochowa, Poland. Please let me know if anybody has any info on the origins of the Brandys name.....................Thanks

We had a famous wrigther many years ago his name was edwar brandes.A danish - jewish
family there had some connection to Brandys in Poland.
We also have the great artist: Peter Brandes,who is still going strong.
In Poland are the best known Brandys, a wrighter called Kazimierz Brandys.
