Seeking polish people for customer service role in London

Hello All,

Normally i would not advertsise on a forum so apologies to regular contributors for the interruption.

But it is so hard to find hard working and smart people in London outside fo the very highly paid city workers. To get good admin staff is nigh on impossible.

Let me explode a couple of myths that are bound to be growing in a reader's mind in this point. We pay high wages and pay the same to all workers. The reason we want Polish staff is because they are harder working and hungrier to succeed than the 'indiginous' staff we have employed in the past. This is of course a gross generalisation but is my experience and we are a medium sized company and and not in a position to effect government policy.

After 3 weeks posting the positions on the government Jobcentre website, we have three suitable applicants from 35 cv's received. All are from Poland. What can i say? We need more capable staff who speak excellent english and have degrees.

If anyone here lives in london and wants a fantastic career starting in customer service and moving up the admin/management career ladder for a dynamic skin care laboratory and alongside a friendly team - please email me and attach your CV to writeprivate@gmail.com

many thanks - again sorry for the advert.

Toby

career starting in customer service and moving up the admin

??? - how many English people with a degree (unless you are a student in the process of getting your degree) would want to go in to a customer service job?
I could understand if you were offering a graduate post.

Im not suprised - you should go through a recruitment agency no company worth its salt would go on a gov website.

Im not trying to be rude Im just pointing out facts.

Thank you Shelly for your comments or facts as you call them!

What exactly is a graduate post? You are suggesting that customer service is not. do you know that in most graduate positions eg. media, you begin making tea and coffee and by the time you get to work on anything relating to your degree ie in production, you are 10 years wiser, realise that your degree is irrelevant without experience and in any event you have forgotten it all!

Many people including myslef have been blessed with working as part of a small highly skilled team. Getting the ability to start on the ground floor (but definately not as a runner per se) and move in the direction that interests me.

A graduate to any business is just a mark of accomplishment. What you learn is pretty much irrelevant to the real world (unless it is chemistry or somethign like that). What is shows is the person has initiative, the ability to learn and can work at something and finish it. Otherwise it is not of any real interest.

Customer service is a braod term we use so as not to over inflate the role to would be candidates who we respect and don't BS to. It means getting involved in every aspect of the company and finding your feet with prioducts, marketing and end-customers. It is not sales of office junior.

lastly - your point on recruitment websites - most recruiters are overpaid and under-skilled sales people who are bored and tired of foisting candidates who don't want a position on a client company who doesnt want the staff. We have used lots of agencys in the past and they are a waste of time. They are expensive and usually the staff person is not suitable.

If people were less snobbish, they would realise that the Jobcentre service is great at matching up people and jobs because it is free and because both sides need to make the effort to 'meet'. We find that although some candidates are not upto scratch, it is only because of snobbishness that people on 'monster' et al. are not on Jobcentre is because of prestige and nothing else.

further - if you accept that the site will only be as good as its candidates who will be as good as its comany clients - how do you think that paradigm will change if quality companies do not also advertise there.

What you are saying in effect is don't bother with the jobcentre website because noone else does. Well that isn't our policy towards staff, products or customers.

Not being rude either - just pointing out the facts.

Hello Toby,

I have read your postings and totally agree with all of the above.

The recruiters have to be quite creative in the way they advertise their vacancies and there is nothing wring with using forums like this.

I am writing on behalf of a recruitment agency and we dedicate our services to finding jobs for enthusiastic and talented people from Eastern Europe. We have a large database of candidates and 95% of them are degree educated. Most of them are based in London and are looking for a job in Customer Services or Office Administration.

Feel free to contact me on gowestcontact@btinternet.com if you require further information.

Thank you Alex - i wish you the best of luck finding great candidates on this forum. We have interviewed two people and took both on full time - one already started.

I am grateful to the people who host this site. Both candidates are graduates (in fact masters) and now have an incredible opportunity to grow a superb and exciting career.

In a way i am pleased that some people are negative, since the right people with inventiveness and stregnth of character self-select. However i am sure that some companies do not treat staff well and perhaps there is a reason for hard working europeans being a little skeptical.

Rex - the reason for the Gmail address is that we do not wish for our company to be seen to be advertising for vacancies. This is standard throughout recruitment.

Dear Madam/Sir,

Essentially I am looking for an office role. I am flexible and believe I would be well suited to a position in Human Resources, performing secretarial duties or in general office support. If possible I am looking to find a position with a company in a similar field to my studies. This would be ideal but is not a necessary requirement.

I have a bachelor’s degree in Finance & Banking and I am currently halfway through a master’s degree in Public Relations (Economics).

I hope to find a position in a company that can offer training and an opportunity to progress in a stimulating and challenging career path.

I am well presented and possess an excellent telephone manner and communication skills. I am very well organised, analytically minded, hard working and a fast learner.

I am a friendly and energetic person and I am certain I will make a positive contribution any organisation.

I hope you will consider me for any positions you may have and I look forward to meeting with you and discussing this in more detail.

Please find a copy of my CV attached.
Thank you for your time and consideration.

Kind Regards,
