sending a letter to poland

i would like to send a drawing to poland as a surprise..but boyfriend told me some time ago that there are some problems because people steal things in mail... what can i do ??? registered ( recommended ) mail ? i need a lot to be helped.. i m goin to send drawin today

Nah! I often buy books via the Internet and none of them has been stolen so far. So just buy a nice and proper envelope and go ahead!

I work at the post office, and you do hear about things being stolen in other countries. If you have something valuable, we recommend that it is sent either registered or insured with a signature, because that way you can track the stuff and if it does get lost, you will get a refund. You can now send to Europe a numbered insured parcel which you can insure for $50.00 and the receiver will have to sign it so you know it is delivered.

maybe this is a stupid question..hard to answer but.. how long do you think it may take by recommended mail from Italy to Poland? i would like to know when my boyfriend will change face to white for some minutes:P

What's in that drawing??? Hmmm I wonder.
I would say it should get there in about 5 days. Maybe a day sooner or later, because the post offices are swamped with mail this time of year, and it usually takes about 6-9 days from US to Poland.

in drawing there is my boyfriend when he was about 3 years old:P but fact is that he doesn't know he s the subject of my drawing and he doesn't expect to have it in his hands !:P
our is a strange luv story but i live it with my best sincerity,loyality and dept

so i mean to do him that surprise:1 to make him discover originally what he has been askin me since i started to draw ('' what are you drawing?'') ...2 because seeing himself in a drawing when he doesn't expect it ..eh it can be impressive:P 3 because it's the first drawing i give ..i get linked to my works ,and i want to demostrate how much i luv him also that way
4 I WANT TO CUT DISTANCE as much as i can

Kitten believe me he will like this drawing,its a great idea,i wish i could draw because i've thought of sending the same thing to the girl i love a few weeks ago............If someone special to me sent me something that they had spent so much time doing.......well i'd be lost for words to be honest........i'm sure he will feel the same.

Well from the UK to Poland takes at least 4-5 working days (i post things to Poland regularly) to arrive ... but with it being the holiday period it may take a little while longer ... plus i know that some areas of Poland experienced a postal strike until about 2 weeks ago!

10 days seems long, but with the christmas rush it could still show up. Did you insure it or get a tracking number on it?

i put there my address too . it's recommended mail with message when mail is received but...nothing yet

You probably mailed it air-mail too, but maybe because of all the mail, it takes longer. So wait a little bit yet.

i sent it the 15th!!...even if i should consider 2 sundays less and the 24th...hmm.. i hope well

Remember, they had a strike not long ago in the major cities, so now they are so swamped with mail, adding to it the Christmas cards, that it might take a little longer.
Let us know when he gets it and what he says!!!
