Why would you keep someones details over a year when they havent been here for 12 months?
It gives a true & fair account of true forum current membership.

And one year of inactivity is as fair as you can get imho. 12 months, 365 days of nothing...?

besides, the rule say 'may'

What would you propose?

The userid (6775 in this case) reflects the number of all registrations made in the past. So if we haven't ever removed any user, there would be 6775 users now. But there's no goal to "balance this figure" as it won't be possible. :)

i was just expressing my ipinion. imho=in my humble opinion.

i don't see why you have to dump inactive members.. i am sure there will be time when i will not be in here for a spell.. that spell could be a year or more.. i have been that way on other forums too.. never seen anybody get this anal about maintianing their forum.. but whatever you guys feel working for you... i am enjoying the forums, for sure.. although i feel them to be over moderated.

overall i'd give you a B+ LOL

its says 'may'

this does not mean 'will' :)

it just provides PF.com, the option and giving members the communication about it.
In case you go away for over a year and 'wonder'.

plk123,

I really can't see a problem. It will take at most 30 seconds to re-activate/re-register.

Exactly. It won't be done automatically.. Members who have been active in the past may still have some "privileges" ;). The goal is to remove those who posted one or two messages (like in the Jobs or Translation sections) and never come back.

If the bank freezes my account and I can't get my money, I have something to worry about.

If Admin decides I'm Persona non grata, fine, so what, it ain't gonna effect my quality of life
