John Bolton is disappointed that Bush isn't upping the ante to launch a full-scale assault against Iran. Bush has made a mistake once, targetting Iraq just to finish off 'old business'. War in Iraq should've been removal of Hussein, not wholesale regime change. Iran is playing its cards right but Israel will force the hand of America. Tensions will rise but I don't think any big guns will be pulled out.

hmmm, doubt it, election's in 4 months anyway. Bush is lame duck right now. Plus he's pi*ssed off too many of his own party wasting all that money in Iraq. Republicans dont care about lives.. but they do care about money wasted.

I didn't specify when they would force it. The posturing will continue for quite some time yet.

Right now I feel to leave Iraq would be wrong. We are where we are. Now to say see ya, would leave them in a bad place. Finish as quick as possiable and gradually down size. Pray for a better day. Carol

I don't know if it's just me, but when I read this quote, I can't help but hear the American "Band Aid" record We Are the World.

Ive agreed with this all along, that was Messed up, I hope they get some heavy
punishment, no reason for that. thats not how our country is, and if people
want to base this incident how America is , we can pull up links and videos to
stuff about all troops involved in the Iraq war.. lets not throw stones, this incident
is bad, and they should be relieved of duty and punished..

Shocking video.

I doubt if this will ever reach the news networks in America.
Even less chance of US citizens tuning in to Al Jazeera !

Despite the IDF blindfolding unarmed civilians and shooting them at point blank range with rubber bullets - the US still funds Israel to the tune of 2.4 billion dollars a year.

I suppose the US has the spare cash tho.........

No actually.. it doesn't really have the spare cash. It doesn't have the spare cash for anything outside of American borders now.

Actually, something like this was probably shown on CNN, although not the networks.. Yes, it was despicable and cowardly.

And if this had been done by the Palestinians or others it'd have been headline/breaking news on BBC,CNN,FOX etc... for a week and rightly so given the sheer brutality of it's nature.

One full week after the Iraqi government has stated that they will demand a complete withdrawl of troops from Iraq. How are the candidates treating "The Iraq war debate?"

It looks like they are ignoring it! URL

Stop the War Coalition asks: Whatis the war for?

A report by the Senlis Commission has estimated that up to 50% of Afghanistan is now in the hands of the taliban, giving the lie to recent comments by British ministers that Britain is winning the war in Afghanistan.

Thanks for the link, now this shows what our military are dealing with. If we move out do you understand that we are abandoning the "infidils" as in people of non Taliban connections? Do we have the right to leave them if they cannot yet protect themselves?

Al-Qaeda calls for a new 'Jihad'
Afghanistan, and not Iraq -- is the main front of struggle

Al-Qaeda is back with a vengeance. Mustafa Abu al-Yazeed, interviewed by Pakistan’s Geo TV says “there is no difference between the American people and their government.” He goes on to attack the Pakistan government for suppressing the Islamist movement. He calls for Jihad in Afghanistan, on both sides of the Pakistan/Afghan border. As far as future US policy goes, Obama is on a learning curve while McCain seems geographically challenged.

You shook up the hornets nest and brought them out of hibernation. What a crappy argument. U have no right to be the police there now, democracy has been installed. U led them to this predicament. Just like u led many Iraqis to civil war and death. Life was better under Hussein many say. What does that tell you?

Get out now!!

The middle east and surrounding areas are a joke, its becoming clear to me that what we should do is make it a DMZ for all EU & US forces, Let them all kill each other and then later on sort out the mess and try and help the people who are left to get on with their lives.

What a joke that part of the world is, if the Americans and the UK etc etc were not there the fighting would be between rival groups of religious sects etc. People just use the military presence as an excuse to try and make out that the middle east and surrounding area really is a nice place and all the people there just want peace, well i'm here to tell you, its bull :)

I say Bush, after his step down, joins the front line in South Waziristan. That's where the action's at and he talks a good game. Let's see what he's made of with a Kalashnikov in his face.

Vote for Bush to join the front line. 1 vote from me

The CIA were listening to a conversation between two Arabs. One said to the other. Did you watch the baseball game last night? It was very explosive....(key word).....A home run was scored when he made all the way back to The Base. Lol

AL-QAEDA=TOLIET BOWL IN ARAB

"Ana raicha Al Qaeda" is colloquial for "I'm going to the toilet". A very common and widespread use of the word "Al-Qaeda" in different Arab countries in the public language is for the toilet bowl. This name comes from the Arabic verb "Qa'ada" which mean "to sit", pertinently, on the "Toilet Bowl". In most Arabs homes there are two kinds of toilets: "Al-Qaeda" also called the "Hamam Franji" or foreign toilet, and "Hamam Arabi" or "Arab toilet" which is a hole in the ground. Lest we forget it, the potty used by small children is called "Ma Qa'adia" or "Little Qaeda".

So, if you were forming a terrorist group, would you call yourself, "The Toilet"?
