Gates says Pakistan hasn't asked for soldiers yet, but he made it clear that the U.S. is open to providing troops for joint efforts.

The United States military is concerned about the rise of insurgents in Pakistan's tribal areas bordering Afghanistan.

According to U.S. officials, the areas have become safe havens for Taliban and Al Qaeda militants.

There is also Turkmenistan,Tatzikistan,Uzbekhistan.So many areas without US troops.You have to do sth for that.

They should do this. The more they spent, the weaker they are. It is very nice.

Al Qaeda are relentless, I think Germany could be next. We can fight terror with vigilance but only to a certain level. The old bombs in backpacks approach by terrorists is hard to combat.
