Skarbie udanej niedzieli...

"Skarbie udanej niedzieli..."

Hello, I have a problem understanding this one, which was a SMS sent to me by my Polish friend.

The problem is that I cannot find the meaning of "udanej" therefore I hesitate between 2 meanings:

1. Considering that she calls me "Skarbie" in some e-mails, this means that she addresses me and gives me the order to "udanej niedzieli" where "udanej" is the imperative form of some verb.

2. "Skarbie" is the first person of skarbić and "udanej" is an adjective form, then she is talking about herself.

udany is literally fortunante or felicitous (udanej is a feminine form in genitive case. polish grammar for you!)

skarb is literally treasure (skarbie is in vocative case)

Z przyjęmonością would sound better. That is your welcome does not exist in English though there is a form 'you are welcome'.

i don't think that writing something in Polish to the original poster would be a great idea! nonetheless, that is another mistake i make in english and nobody ever corrects me, cos they think it's lovely how i get things wrong.... you should hear me trying to prunounce something in french, i'm useless! words like crossaint or pain au chocolat. i just say 'that one please' lol....

Someone has already given you the boring correct translations. Yours were much more amusing. If you want to see just how much, just use the same computer translator to put them back into English... One of the British Sunday mags used to publish such roundtrip results in a column called "Stop making sense". Why not try this as your Polish party trick? The only danger is that people might piss themselves laughing. Don't do it at the dinner table (risk of choking). You might also consider using it to write a novelty English-Polish phrasebook.

omg how silly!....i actully dont have a clue about polish....i tryed a translation site because i didnt want to keep pestering people on this to help me translate the text messages from the polish man ive recently met!! ! how embarassing!
