After some doubt as to if it will take place due to the bad weather there, the forecast looks good, although the winds look at bit strong, which may cause problems.

This year I heard that 13-year old Klemens Murañka will be entered, due to where he won his first Continental Cup points at the tournament in Kranj, Slovenia, anyone know if this is still the case, because there was some criticism from Foreign coaches directed towards Poland for entering such a young contestant.

What do you think of Adam Malysz chances this year?
Home ground, you never know :O)

Just been reading about this amazing talent, the record for Zakopane is 140mts and he has jumped 136mts at his age, that's astounding!!

Here are a couple of videos about him on youtube:

Muranka did poorly in today's training, he was last in fact with 104 m. It's going to be a no music, no cheering event due to deadly plane crush we had yesterday. Malysz? If he goes to top 10 it will be a success I think. I hope Kamil Stoch will jump to the podium this time.

Since MALYSZ is my paternal family surname, I was excited to see ADAM MALYSZ in the Winter Olympics. Does anyone have personal info about him? At this point I am at a deadend with that side of the family--I don't know where in Poland my Grandparents are from. I have not found when or where they entered the US.
I do know that all of their children were born in Pennsylvania starting in 1915 to
1923. They did move to Detroit, Michigan , but I'm not sure of the date.
Any helped would be appreciated.
Thanks ukpolska for posting the video of Adam Malysz
