To ex-pats living in Poland. Hanging around more with Polees or other expats?

with poles or with other expats? Who do you spend more time (of course excluding your polish wives/husbands ;)

Ex-Pats unfortunately. I came here with the intention of fully integrating, but I have found Poolish guys very standoffish (very different to how I found them in Ireland) I spend some time with my gf's friends but it isn't really by choice. My lack of Polish I suppose hinders me.

Really? You should have told them that you support Celtic Glasgow - they would
be much less "standoffish" then.

I agree with ya, most of my friends here are girls, and it's great and all but would be nice to talk about football and boobs with somebody.

Football and boobs :) :) I'm listening :) I used to hang out more with expats but I spend most time with my wife now. Poles more now, I'd say :)

What about swans?
I understand that breaking the fabrics of society is a demanding and rather time-consuming task, but I have to admit, that I am a little bit disappointed that you are obviously unable to find some time to take care of these beautiful (and delicious) birds.
Shame...

How can you call yourself an immigrant? You fail even that.

Lived in Krakow for 11 months. Not met any expats yet.

I dont eat the swan meat though, I use the delicate neck feather to wipe my ass with.

Yes, I'm stealing your job because I know that you'd make a great English teacher especially with all the grammatical errors that you never seem to make, also you live in Engerland so STFU...

Also you fogot to mention that we're here stealing your women, but I think that's coz they prefer foreign men coz we dont treat them like cavewomen and expect them to clean and cook and produce babies all the time.

You seem like a really nice man by the way, I hope you enjoy your job washing dishes in some sh*thole in London

i don't know any other expats in Wroclaw at the moment, knew a couple and they all went home, so i guess i'd have to say that i only hang with poles.

In my home my dad cooks. Does it shock you?
Also never heard anyone to have expextations towards women to born babies (maybe besides goverment). Its rather contrary, women wants children and men dont (because it costs, because after their wives/girlfriend are more intrested in babies than sex and relationship, etc).
If woman is not in love with foreigner then the main reason to marry foreigner is money or status (its easier to start life abroad having foreigner husband). Sorry if ur woman marry you due these reasons.

Dont get me wrong or think I am having a moan, its just the way it seems. When I was an immigrant (Irish) living in London I had no problem having craic with Polish lads but here in Krakow it is very different.

The women in this city are generally lovely but the Cracovian lads (particurarily the career student, living off their parents, not working, crying about not working and it being too hot/or cold CONSTANTLY (of whom there are many)) are very hard to deal with. The word aloof springs to mind as does jealously. As do the phrases man-up and lazy expectant b**tard . That said there are many good oaks about and ultimately I came here for my fiance so it doesnt really matter. One thing i was surprised about is that some of the so-called underclass in Krakow who are looked down upon by the cities generally snobbish inhabitants are top boys.

Anyway its just my musings.
