Racist's exist everywhere. However I think it's rather uncivilized for the government to treat these criminals so lightly with little care to justice. I assume however that the poster isn't untruthful or exaggerative in any way.

When I lived in Rotterdam, I got beat up by 3 black girls. Just like that, no reason at all, I was just walking home from work. Also, my bag with all my belongings got stolen.
I went to the police station, I gave my statement and guess what...nothing ever happened, they didn't catch the girls, neither did they call me back to give any feedback.

Also, I did not go to post on some blackpeople.com forum to tell what happened to me, and I never thought anything bad about black people, just because some 3 stupid black girls beat me up.

I'm sorry about what has happened to you, but it happens everywhere in the world.

what?

I'd agree with George8600. You'll find racism everywhere.
As for the news from the court, I'm not an expert, but... well... I wouldn't expect much.

I don't see there is anything you can do, you took a beating theyre not going to catch them - end of.

If youre scared to walk the streets i suggest you start some kind of martial arts training or better still boxing, if there is a next time you'll be able to hit the biggest one first and if that doesnt work - run like hell.

And why do you think this has something to do with racism? Do you think it doesn't happen to Polish boys, to get beat up for no reason at all? Well, let me tell you, it does happen to Polish guys as well.
Unfortunatelly, there are people who like to kick somebody's butt for entertainment.
Why are you western people are so quick to call everything racism?

Yeah, you are right. You can always get beaten up for no reason at all. I'd argue however that it's much easier to get beaten up when you're a foreigner. Wouldn't you agree?

I don't know. I'm not one.

No, I wouldn't agree. I'm pretty sure that if you checked statistics, you'd find that it's mostly Polish guys who get beat up in Poland.

Well, there are 97% ethnical Poles in Poland I read. On most of the countryside it's probably 99%.

But if you correlate the assult statistics by proportion of Poles/foreigners in PL, I'm sure foreigners would be overrepresentated in getting beaten up. However, most foreigners in PL don't get beaten up.

My intuition tells me otherwise. I'd really like to check the statistics. Have you actually seen some data on this subject, or are we both merely speculating here?

That would be my guess as well.

That's because guys that smile (foreigners) are interpreted as trying to provoke some sort of aggressive response - bringing about morbid body rage in the somewhat less highly developed Polish male.

Then, maybe it's because our men are more tough and actually know how to fight? Hence Polisih men get in fight rather than get beaten up, while the delicate foreigners rather get their fragile butts kicked?

Nika, it is possible to be assaulted/mugged in any country, but it is NOT acceptable and should not be considered everyday life or the norm. Not matter what your color/nationality/religion/sexuality everyone should feel safe to walk the streets freely, of course there will always be exceptions such as war torn countries. The Netherlands and Poland are considered civilized societies...

Are you sure you're telling us the full story?
You were just walking the streets on a saturday night?

I bet you just left a bar after hitting on Polish girls.
Or you were seen approaching Polish girls on the street.

I can understand that not everyone likes that.
Unfortunately for you some will use violence to tell you the message.

This is true, and mostly likely at weekends when attacks are fueled by alcohol.

Usually Poles do not attack you if you don't provoke them.A usual provocation is when you try to steal their gfs or when you have brown, black face.

Of course it should not be considered the norm, but it happens. When it happened to me I didn't go posting all over internet suggesting that Rotterdam is one crazy place to live in. I actually very much enjoyed my stay in Rotterdam, it's one of my favourite cities.

Totally agree on that. I would also like to walk the streets of Kraków freely, without seeing crazy, drunk, half-naked Brits, puking and pissing all over the place. Also, I would like to go out freely, without being harassed by them w stylu: "wanna play" "I want a Polish girl" or whatever it is that they bredzą.

It's all wishful thinking warszawski

P.S. Although, in my opinion, there is a grain of truth in what I've said.

No kidding! My Uncle was a Soviet boxer. Big guy. Not happy unless he was punching something, but otherwise as sweet as pie. ;)

I am an Englishman , who it seems , does not look at all Polish , up to date i have now been to twenty or more motorcycle zlots , where lots of alcohol got drunk , by the sort of people you really would not want to mess with...I have danced with their girls , drank with them , argued abut Poland with them....never had a problem...

There are idiots in every country , and of course in Poland too , and after some beer , yes you can have a problem with these people....

Sometimes the problem can be just that you don,t fit in , some people seem to have a problem no matter where they go....

I seem to be able to get along with people of any nationality , and make friends easy enough , and the fact i am a biker helps very much too , The fact you are a brother biker is seen as far more important than where you were born.....

If you want to get drunk , have a great time , and have no problems , go to a biker zlot , and not to any place full of guys in tracksuits....
