Could anyone please tell me the name of the music that the band was playing during Kaczynski's funeral procession in Krakow?

I watched almost all of the cerimonies on Friday and Saturday on TV streams out of Poland.

This music piece was played only after the Funeral Mass was completed.

Is was played when the procession left the church at Krokow square to Wawel Castle.

It can be heard at the YouTube link:

For some reason the music seems to be trying to bring back some childhood memories from the old Polish neighborhood where I was born. Polish tradions were very strong in our family and that neighborhood when I was a child too many years ago.

It is definately not part of Chopin's (Funeral March) Sonata No. 2 in B-flat minor, Op. 35.

The feeling that I get is that this music piece was traditional years ago and reserved for the procession from the church after the funeral mass to the cemetary.

It's haunting!

Dzienkuje Bardzo.

I read soemwhere that it was the score from the new Polish film 'Różyczka'. The film was about a communist secret police informer ordered to marry a Polish dissident historian. Supposedly based on the true story of Paweł Jasienica.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Xxjw6ZsHjNU&feature=related, this is also haunting music. That's probably why I like it so much :) Death of Aase by Edvard Grieg. Aase was a horse. This takes me back to primary school when I learned the story.

Oh yes, I forgot to say. It was played on tv for LK. This is the track TVN played in memory of him. It is directly relevant to the thread.

An absolute classic, HC. Jim Morrison used it in his poetry album. They also used Samuel Barber's 'Adagio for Strings' on Polish tv around the time of the funeral. I posted it on FB last night, the best music comes from the classical genre. The Italians produced Albinoni and also Ennio Morricone :) :) :)

Wasn't it the album that had Feast of Friends? If so I think it was released by his band mates after his death hmm.. but I might be wrong.
