live concerts are one of the only ways for bands to make money these days.

those who download music usually don't pay for it. hence the above.

who buys cd's these days ?

so who is fleecing who ?

Personally I can name 2 or 3 songs by Madonna and recognise the sound of a couple more - as for Lady Gaga, I understand she's an American singer

I heard a few gaga songs and thought for ages they were madonna

Don`t be crazy. Gaga`s music is fun, nobody is duped here, people pay because they need entertainment, that is a fair deal. Your attitude is really sickening.

guesswho:
I fully agree with you here, she sucks really bad and I wouldn't even call it music to begin with.

Man, even if you spent 1000 years, you wouldn`t create better than Gaga. Don`t be foolish as Polonius.

Koala:
That's her way of doing money, don't get angry at her.

What is your faucking way of doing money, BTW? I don`t think I would like to see or listen to what you perform, judging by your comment on LG.

NomadatNet:
Didn't understand much. So, she is something like Cleopatra of our 21th century? Or, another tecno-feminist?

No, she is just a star.

Our terrible and destructive media has been fooling people with this disgusting "noise" for years now and I have to say, they were obviously very "successful" otherwise we wouldn't have a muppet of a president here too. It's not about singing and making sense anymore, it's about dressing up like a slut and putting on a show, that's all. Hey, if this is what you like, that's just fine with me but I (however not often) have to agree with polonius as far as Lady Gaga etc. no matter what you or others say about it.

A Muppet preceded by a Marionette, how appropriate, wouldn’t you say?

Flaunt it while you still got it and if you can make some money in the process, why not? After all isn’t it the American way?

Yes, exactly.. and just like real ones if you blink your eye you will soon see another one falling. Gaga basically does 80 songs with A LOT more bass. She's not orginial and that's easy to spot if you're not a kiddie.

only if you like to generalize. How one feels has nothing to do with one's nationality.

Generalization my foot, as a loud proponent of the opportunity, land of the free and all that, surely you can appreciate her seizing the moment and making herself wealthy in the process?

I know a lot of people who appreciate good show for whatever reason.

it's just an expression, nothing really vulgar about it.

of course you do and that's why I said that it would be a generalization to put it the way you did it earlier. People are people, SHT likes LG and guesswho doesn't but it has nothing to do with being Polish or American.
