That's bullshit. Michnik has risked his own career to defend Poland's good name against false accusations of Anti-Semitism. To take just one of many examples, here he telling the self-righteous, finger-pointing, 'all Poles are antisemites' French Left what idiots they are on the subject of Katyn

What did he risk , what cereer ( given by fellow Jews ). What a moronic opinion .

Michnik runs very anti-Polish and full of nonsense newspaper . There are few people in Poland who don`t know this fact.

Everything.

A very Polish newspaper - and less full of 'nonsense' than several notable alter4natives.

And still GW sells very well indeed.

Stop trolling, Moania.

Although I'd like to say that it's because we actually help people here but sadly that doesn't have any effect one way or the other.
The reason that we are still here would probably have something to do with knowing the rules and keeping to them. You should probably read them again yourself, pay particular attention to rule number 2 and rule number 8: your post shows no knowledge of either rule.

You have been banned/suspended how many times? I cant count. Take a look in the mirror next time hypocrite.

Well, Jewish identity is unusual in that it can be either (i) ethnic or (ii) religious or (iii) both.

One can also be Vietnamese and Polish at the same time, or Muslim and Polish at the same time - by law. Because contrary to racist anti-Polish stereotypes, Poland is a standard western liberal democracy.

Roca's theory was that one is either a Pole or a Jew, and that Jews in Poland are 'pretending' to be Polish while they devote their entire lives to their conspiracy to cause the inefficiencies Polish bureaucracy. I'm not sure why Roca chose the bureaucracy, given he hasn't provided any evidence he could have picked any other of Poland's failings to blame on a Jewish conspiracy.

First of all, seriously? Why is everyone here so obsessed with talking about Jews? Do you all really have nothing better to do?

Also: "Jewish" is either an ethnicity or a religion or both, but it is not a nationality. Polish is a nationality, German is a nationality, Vietnamese is also a nationality. No, just no.

But seriously, WTF, people?

Sarah, I don't know how much you know about history, but most of the people here ranting about Jews are the ones who are descended from peasants in the Eastern borderlands. Much of what they say has been passed down to them by said peasants - so :)

What do you mean by the Eastern borderlands?

I've been living in Mazury and Warsaw and have never met any people like this. Maybe that's because I know no native-English speakers in Poland. It's reminds me of Chinese friends of mine who complain about the American/UK/German people who come to China to work (because they are too uneducated or for whatever other reason can't find a job in their own country) and think they're better than the Chinese and think they know more about China and the Chinese than those who have lived there their whole lives.

The Kresy. What is now Belarus and Ukraine. Mainly the places where Poles made up fewer than one in five of the population in 1931.

You are rather unlikely to meet such people in Warsaw. The attitudes being expressed by the posters from North America are the ones which were held by peasants who lived in the Russian sector of partition era Poland and which have largely died out here. These days they are almost exclusively held by people who love Busia Sofia's pierogies and wear t-shirts saying things like "Polski Moc!"....

A fascinating place and one with a rich heritage of different communities living together.
