When I lived in Poland I came to the conclusion that it's really hard to find people to have fun with. Polish guys (I mean majority of them) never have fun unless they get wasted and then start "singing"(nothing against singing if it was singing, lol) loud as hell (basically yelling)and women are sitting around them not really knowing how to handle this situation and eventually some of them shut down completely and the rest starts acting like their boyfriends.
What kind of experiences have you made?

matter of taste. All I can say, what I've experienced, most of times I haven't enjoyed it.

All I know are parties with adults (no teens involved in any of the parties I was in).

OK, I'm gonna make a short list of towns where I used to live in Poland
Krasnik, Lublin, Swidnik, Pulawy, Siedlce, Radzyn Podlaski, Mikolajki
(not counting towns where are just stopped by for a night or two. Most of times other teachers or older students invited me to their parties. It was fun here and there but most of times it was a waste of time.

well, of what I know from this forum, you live in the states, right? If so then you know the difference. We also drink and sing (you have to admit, most of times better, lol)but no one is really yelling or puking at the table or falling of the couch etc.

Maybe you matured. Maybe your 'vibes' changed. Maybe you stopped wearing big clown shoes, who knows?

c'mon man, there were at least 30 people each time we had the parties. Why are you trying to be sarcastic? All I'm saying is what I've experienced in Poland and how I see it as a foreigner.

I was invited once but couldn't go. I've heard about it, sometimes up to a week, I was told. Often ends up with fights, blood and a hospital, right lol. My students in Krasnik discribed me a typical wedding party in their region, lol.

someone told me that whoever is invited to a wedding party has to bring some cash and give it to the young couple as a present so it's not really free :-)

My experience of the Polish partying is that they have to be pushed to enjoy it. I hev been out with a wide range of Polish people and most of the guys stand around with a drink in their hand looking at their watches. The girls are a differnt story. They like to dance.

Im interested in what Sadieann said about them being crazy. A crazy night out is one that culminates in something wild, skinny dipping in the Baltic sea etc. The Poles I go out with are far from crazy, they are more conventional if anything. When staying in mazury and drunk I suggested we all go skinny dippuing in the lake. It was as if i asked them to cut their right arms off. Geez chill out
