.......why Polish people and not some other nationality?

No....Poles in general do not hate anyone, there obviously will be muslim haters in Poland just like there is in every other country of the world. Thus having nothing to do with the fact they're Polish. Good day.

Good post.Speaking for myself (not all polish ppl) I like muslims very much as long as they are in their own muslim countries not in PL.

I don't hate these people as individuals, but I hate their oppressive religion. I vieuw their religion and their medieval superstitions as extremely intolerant, a source of constant conflict between people who could've been friends under different circumstances, and a serious threat to people who value their freedom.

Main Entry: su·per·sti·tion
Pronunciation: \ˌsü-pər-ˈsti-shən\
Function: noun
Etymology: Middle English supersticion, from Anglo-French, from Latin superstition-, superstitio, from superstit-, superstes standing over (as witness or survivor), from super- + stare to stand — more at stand
Date: 13th century
1 a : a belief or practice resulting from ignorance, fear of the unknown, trust in magic or chance, or a false conception of causation b : an irrational abject attitude of mind toward the supernatural, nature, or God resulting from superstition
2 : a notion maintained despite evidence to the contrary

we don`t hate people...

But in general we don`t like any nation ( with exceptions).

We don`t like coz:

Italians coz "makaroniarze i pedały"

French " żabojady"

Englishman " herbaciarze"

Germans " WWII"

Russians " ruskie"

Turks ' kebeby"

Czechs " pepiczki"

etc.

But when we meet any of them and turn out fine people we will like them "

I think it`s kind of polish nature.

Everyone has their stereotypes. Same reason that people associate Poles with "theft".

Funny how Poles don't like most nations, yet they are on their hind legs when somebody says they don't like Poles. Is this also a typical Polish thing? Granting yourself the right to curse and swear at other ppl while getting upset if other ppls do the same to you?

Here in Ireland, Polish girls are generally liked because in the North City Centre there are plenty of them and on this side of the river they generally look better than the Irish girls. In the South City Centre it's a bit of a different story as the Irish girls there are generally better looking there than the Polish ones.
The men are generally not perceived so well here in Ireland, for the obvious reasons. I myself always have to explain twice that I am from Holland, not Poland and that I am Dutch. As soon as they know this, it's ok. Makes me wonder.

If you make a keyword search on this forum, you will see the most frequent keywords are Christian, Muslim and Jew beside Poland. You are polishing these religions too much. They have been seperated into the sects also. But, maybe, it is time to use a single word for all of these religions; Abraham religions. All these religions and important persons like prophets, saints, etc claim to be descendants of Abraham who lived in Jerusalem region anyway.

you don`t understand meaning "like" in Polish. this is not strong feeling, when I say that i don`t like englishman. ( i have some english friends)

When Pole says that he doesn`t like englishmen, it`s mean: "Wait, give me some englishman to meet/know and i we will see."

I can say that i don`t like Turks, but I didn`t curse and inslult them... The worsest word wchich i described them is "Kebab" ;)

I like Dutch in generally, I love their ( women) blue eyes and appearnce. but I can say that i don`t like You. Like I said this is not strong feeling. I `m writting this with the obstreperous smile. ;-)

Dziękuję, Dobranoc

Oh no. The nicest word is the worst word. We use kebab here also as slang, that implies "easy, comfortable, etc for liked things." "Hey, you liked this? Answer: kebab, kebab:!)". . How many kebabs you know out there? Only doner and kielbasti (or as we say here, kulbasti)? There are hundreds of different kebab styles here in Turkey. It is a kebab sea. We have open garden house restaurants where you can cook yourself and eat yourself. You are invited in summer, all kebabs are on me. (if you bring this damn stubborn feminist goat.)

I don't think that Polish people hate Muslims. We don't talk about Muslims, there isn't many articles in Polish press, or TV documentaries on them, there is very few of them living in Poland - most Poles don't know much about them. We know Muslims exist, but since we don't have contacts with them on a daily basis, most of us don't really have any profoundly negative, or any attitudes in general, towards Muslims. Obviously, there are exceptions.

Why do you say "Poles"? I'm a Pole and I don't dislike any nation - I dislike certain types of ppl, but not certain nations. Also, I don't think everybody should like Polish ppl - I can perfectly understand that some ppl don't like us, it's their right, and it's fine by me.

Let us see if you answer the same in a few years time...by the way over 50% of the new AIDS and HIV cases in the UK come from Africans...Strangely enough Russians bring money to the UK..I know which one I'd prefer and for Ukis, we've had them in the UK for decades without a problem, we'll have those too and you can have all the lovely Africans and middle eastern people we have here...Deal?

There are some claims. AIDs and HIVs are laboratory products. Africans have progressed so much in science?

Look up the number of racist assaults carried out against the muslim community in Poland. That will give you a good indicator.

You come out with some amount of garbage, chap. Have you ever ventured into the Northside or Westside?

Polish girls are sought after by mid 20 blokes who have never had a steady girlfriend before. Usually country chaps who are up in Dublin for college. As for south Dublin girls being prettier than their northside/polish counterparts. Laughable, d4 girls are all clones of one another. Orange faces. Czech. Ugg boots. Czech. Abercrompie hoody. Czech. An army of ornge faced screeching wretchs. Mostly inbred too.

Irish people dont have a problem with French/German/Spanish/Dutch people moving to Ireland as, by and large, they integrate and do not arrive en masse. Ive met a couple of dutch living over here and all seem well educated and speak excellent english. Probably better than myself. Ive explained this one to you before.

Aids is rife in Russia.

In general, there is indifference. For a devoutly Catholic country, there isn't much evidence of hatred but, then again, they haven't experienced what Serbs have in relation to some Muslims.

I think alarm bells would be sounded if Islam started to visibly spread but that day is in the distant future.

personally i don't give a crap what one's religious beliefs are.. same of sexual orientation or skin color but many poles are very bigoted so many will hate based on something stupid like religion or skin color or whatever.

Me neither, but you might change your mind when you find yourself surrounded by deeply religious people.

Most Poles would have sth against Islam or just impassiveness. Islam doesn't have such a good name here.

Celts and Slavs have little in common with Muslims. I've known a couple of Muslims that would be welcome to my hospitality but religion is divisive generally and best left undiscussed.
