I don't think Poles could tell sb is a Bosniak if the Bosniak wasn't wearing their headgear. There was a fair bit of friendship between Bosniaks, Serbs and Croats that the media didn't show you. They just wanted to divide and conquer, raping the people in so doing. A smart Pole could see that.

Crow yes but what about the Muslims in Bosnia? They could be Muslims but, let us remember- they are still children of Slavija. What i can confirm here, they feel that they are Slavic no matter that Islam tend to erase their memory to the Slavic (Serbian) origin

Why was religion allowed to cause that level of division, Crow? I mean, most religions are monotheistic and the Balkans people essentially believe in the same thing, i.e one God. Poles are generally fiercely protective of Catholicism so there is fertile ground for a NATO backlash should Poland be an awkward partner.

yep Seanus you are absolutely right we believe on the same God so why all this hated i m Muslim and in real Islam we shouldn't hate any religion sorry about that if i say a lot of Muslim miss understood that because the god created us with a different races, cultures,traditions and religions to know each other no to fight anyway all what is happening is because of the media and the politics .

Sory so politic answer, I just respect good believers I respect polish so much because of that they realy believe and religion realy helped them being good people,Im desit and my wife christian my doughter learn catolic religion and I never stop that because her choise I will never force her,some thimes she ask me about god and what I believe I tell her and her own choise even I never show my way if she wants she find it.I dont respect fanatic believers like kill people because religion for me islamist fanatic and norwegian fanatic in same case I dont like all. I agree with you Seanus. I meant that it is odd that while accepting one deity, people will insist that their method is right while others are wrong leading to atrocities and hatred that go against their own beliefs of brotherley love. The 'you' was not you specifically, more the reader. Crow on #272 showed there is some wisdom in him if only a local and not global view. Different cultures will have different perspectives on the Ineffable, imho. Though some will communicate to highlight differences while good people will use it to focus on the similarities and revel in the diversity of praise.

As for thread's title, there is not enough Muslims in Poland to cause such a strong feelings. In the past I have been iritated by many things I have read about them, like stonings, and I think I am ready to hate them, if they turn out even a third as bad as I think they are. But right now, I really don't have any deep emotional reaction towards Islam people. Some article I read here and there may make me temporarly feel a disgust towards Muslims, but it does fade away in a day or so.

Kondzior, Im not write to answer you ,I just want to say in Turkey two oppinion people live, islamic and Laicite and they dont like each other realy Laicite people are more modern more educated and mostley they live big cities and they are richer then other,and also in Europa many Islamic countries people live and I seen they are not integrated european life style yes I think if in Turkey Laicite people dont like others not integrated big city life and moderism ,europe is right they dont like them. But problem is why before they let them immigrate much like this, west countries work together with green islamic world against sscr? Or cheap worker like slave? Or war with afgaistan or libya or ıraq and some people of them poor and west must save them? Please dont think Im defending to them Im not muslim Im 100% deist,and many of they culture also antipatic for me ,exemple they are against france dont let they use burka,but ask them they let to european wear mini skirt in some arabic country or afganistan? Impossible it means diffrent culture I just say if you cant integrated other culture dont go no where. Do Afghani's hate Catholics? This is by far one of the most ridiculous "stir the pot" questions I've seen on here. Poles don't know Muslims and I'm sure most would like to keep it that way for good reason. That is simply preference and the whole aspect of "hate" is misplaced in this context. /thrread.

Im sorry to say that when I visited Poland the Southern Poles made it clear that they did not like the Northern Poles,in other words it would be a disaster if your daughter married one. I never asked whether or not they liked Muslims but I can guess. There is racial discrimination in all countries of the world amongst all people.I guess the human race is hardwired to think that way,goes back to the ancient times of tribes and territory. Hopefully in future generations that will change but probably not.

Take people as you find them. I met some lovely Muslim guys when studying and, back then, I questioned why they were being so nice to me. Now I kick myself for believing all the cowardly and distorted rubbish written about standard Muslims. They were really nice and nothing like some of the grabbing/stabbing folk in my home city. Many thinking Poles are the same.

Seanus: I met some lovely Muslim guys when studying and it's called putting on an act. they are full of BS. nearly half of my office co-workers are muslims... the fake smirks some of them have on their faces when they walk over to my table and pretend to be nice - it's sickening.

These were topics that were discussed when I visited Poland in the mid sixties among my relatives there. I remember my English Mother asking questions about what the difference was between Southern people and Northern people and the answer was ' they are different people from us' . That was when my Dad said that it would be frowned upon if your daughter was to marry a man from the North. In fact ,my cousin did fall for a Man that was from the North and her family put a stop to the relationship. That's really all I know about it, my Dad was from near Katowice so Im not sure where the definition of Northern was. Also in the Polish community in our town in England there seemed to be an invisable division between people from around Katowice and people from warsaw for example. Wish my Dad was still alive as there are a lot of questions that I would like to ask him.

What I figure out from your posts is that your dad was Silesian so probably he didn't accept non-Silesians in his family (that is the REST OF POLAND). It's pretty sad to hear that.
