Positive things which make a Pole stand out positively in the World!

OK, this is not about Poland the country, but it is about POLES - the people :).

People from all over the world have something uniquely special in them to contribute to the beauty of this beautiful Blue Gem laying on this most awe-inspiring beautiful Starry Universe. For every society/nation, there is something that adds to the beauty and prosperity of this planet. The same is with Poland, and with Poles who do add something from their part to the prosperity and progress of this planet and human civilization in it.

Apart from the obvious that Poles have the warmest heart among all its neighbors, I have recently realized that there are so much more in Poles that make them contribute positively to the beauty of this planet!

Please describe those positive things in Poles which makes them stand out ... in our own words, all those things you can think of :) ...

Interesting topic.

What you stated seems true (here in Canada and probably in the States too).

Polish girls are beautiful and loved by people all over the world (I would guess per capita Poland is above average in this area).

Also when it comes to food Perogi, Pickles, Ponczki are liked I think.

Poles on average are more willing to work than many people I realized (the dirty work like construction, electricians, etc)

And Poles have one of the highest IQs in Europe from some tests Ive seen.

Not the ones I've met. Some think they know everything, they take things apart and never put it back together properly and they think they are better than others. Not all, but some of them do.
But since this is about positives, it's a tough one. I think the Poles who love their own country instead of leaving it for greener pastures, who believe they can improveit without being competitive with others and who respect and value other peoples's decisions, hold my respect.
But there are very few who fall into that category.

Basically the most positive thing about Poles is that they are Slavs.

Other positive things are that they are white(at least till now),christian and european.

I can only say: Poles are adaptive, flexible, and ingenious.

Sometimes I think MacGyver must be a Polish guy :) All the rubbish of "white, Slavs" etc. does not matter in this context.

When I visited Poland in 2005 with my family I was struck by the beauty of the women! Forgive me guys-- not so much -- though nothing can surpass the gentillity of a Polish gentleman -- but the innate beauty of Polish woman-- astounding! I was brought up, however, on the beauty and the nobility of the Polish soul -- not to mention the artistry. I am a humanist, and I see beauty and artistry in all humanity. What I believe, however, is that our countryman's artistry, beauty, humanity, courage, zest for life, and bravery is not so well known. Neither is our complicated and courageous history. So perhaps this topic might seem as though we Poles are doing a little back-patting-- but I believe our story has yet to be told truly, widely, broadly, sincerely to the world at large.

Yes, each person is different... but there are some things which are common due to a shared identity. I meant that ... not those intrinsic personalities which differentiate us. But our common aggregate way which unite us into a nation ... and thus constitute some form of a common trait which can be positive or negative. However, I am looking for the positive here.

I already mentioned that all nations of the world have their own positive trait ... and it is no secret that I consider every human as one family, and not at all into races etc. It is just like we, as member of this family, have somethings special in us to offer ... just to see those special components that we have and to be cheerful about it.

To call Polish women most beautiful and the men most gentle is not my idea of our trait. It is also not quite firm in its standing. There are beautiful women everywhere, and gentlemen too. However, our heart, the smile (and I think the Polish smile is particular in its exciting feature ... just like the sweet Korean smile, and the soothing Thai smile).

The one thing I have noticed about Poles is they are very resourceful.
They can always tell you which place to shop, to get the best bargains and deals.

A few things,

1. Polish people care for one another.
2. They are fast to help out, when in need.
3. They look out for one another.
4. And yes, the Polish women are the best looking women in the world.
5. They make some of the best foods.


And I know there are still many more reason, but this is just a few.

For plus: We love freedom. Show us a perspective of Liberty and we will fight and die for it.
For minus: Freedom means anarchy for us. We are unmanageable people. We don't trust any authority or government. Even our own gov't.

But in the other hand: anarchy is fun. I like it.

I think anarchy is good. The governments obviously want us to believe that we need them so they try to show anarchy as evil, give it a mask of a stoned punk, but anarchy is in fact true democracy. What we have now is feudalism in disguise

I don't accept my good countryman enkidu's idea of "traces" of anarchism in us. Rather, I would say we are great critiques, and we love to analyze the situation. We are not satisfied with what we achieved or have, which is a sign of our relentless pursuit of making ourselves better than what we are and what we have achieved.

By this I don't mean to say I support or deny government. I only mean to say that things can be "better" doesnt mean that I am in support of breaking everything that exists.

A great positive thing among Poles are their capability to think beyond the confinements which are provided to them. They have a big heart, and a heart which loves to see beyond ... and a mind which travels further. Poles love to see wider and are a curious nation.

I would say what sets Poles apart from most other countries is our strong patriotism and our strong heart and will power. Most Poles love their country and their catholic faith, and fight hard for rights of their fellow Poles and for other people around the world who are persecuted. We work hard and we are very mentally strong, we never surrender even when outnumber 10 to 1, such as in world war 2, and in battle of vienna in 1683. We also aspire to improve quality of life for people in the world and animals which is why you see many Poles becoming high priests in the catholic church or even the Pope such as Pope John Paul, and you also see many Poles leave their native land and move to other countries either for better work opportunity or to work on volunteering projects like peace corps, and to defend wildflife from poaching.

Need I remind you that many Poles collaborated (actively or passively, doesn't matter) with the Soviet Union for many years?

You're hysterical - the Poles are leaving because the wages are 3-4 times higher, not because they actually care less about the other countries. To defend wildlife? Poland has huge problems with poaching and destruction of wildlife.

Perhaps take a trip to Bieszczady before you make future stupid comments about wildlife, huh?
