Cześć,

I'm wondering what the spiritual atmosphere is like in Poland nowadays. Do you see most Polish Catholics go to church every Sunday? Has Catholicism become less popular because of the church scandal?

Are there Presbyterian churches?

Is it possible to find people practicing Buddhism, or other non-church based spiritualities?

Dzięki

Yes, you can find quite a few men and women who practice Sexism. If that's not your thing, I recommend Pacifism.

Local meet-up groups, wellness centers, etc.

Some are spiritually downtrodden but I like the fact that churches get a good turnout. This is an important dimension of life but should be for the right reasons.

On Sundays lots of people go to the Swedish church.
[that is what they call IKEA in Sweden, hahaha]

You can find almost all sorts of religions in Poland.

Pacifism
- Pastafarianism maybe? ;)

- surprisingly not. It should go bankrupt years ago but somehow it stands very still in Poland. Maybe it is... God's will?

Since this pertains to "spiritualism" and Polish beliefs and seeing that the main belief is catholic so were there any pagan healers there at one time?

Well Polish catholicism is still standing strong like it always has, maybe it's gotten more liberal. However I honestly don't see how the church scandal or other bad-doings the church has committed apply to Polish christianity which has been more or less singled out. I doubt you'll find buddhist temples or many buddhists in all. However I am sure you can find new-age spiritualists.

Yes, especially on the countryside.

There are still many in woj. warmińsko-mazurskie, which once (not so long time ago) had more protestantic than catholic churches.

Poland's Evangelical Reformed Chruch is the equivalent of the Presbyterian (Calvinist) Church.
