Chopin msut be rolling over in his grave at Pere Lachaise (his heart is at Warsaw's Holy Cross Church) hearing his countrymen listening to rock, pop, disco, techno, hiphop and other such garbage... Traces of folk themes discernable in disco-polo would probably be the least offensive to his subtle ear.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kyFyAqLtHq8, a wonderfully melancholic tune and fitting title. I found Chopin boring as a kid (my granddad exposed me to classical) but he has some interesting compositions. I listened to some in Pszczyna Castle where the annual Chopin contest was held :)

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eGPPDV8wBOQ&feature=related, this too. Quite amazing. I like the notes he touches early on in the piece.

I loved to listen to Jan Paderewski play Chopin with friend who came from Poland we had some of the old 300mm records and would listen in the evening when we were relaxing with a glass of brandy. It transported her back home in her mind to Poland she always said Chopin was the soul of Poland.

I don´t think Chopin cares much about the modern Poles´ "music" taste. I don´t really think he cares much about Poland...wherever his soul may roam.
