Ah, then we've all accomplished that, smartass ;) ;)

I even fell through it once when I was a kid, hmm....

A J, how do you recognise a Catholic when they speak and behave? (no joke here btw)

Hey, I'm just trying to show you people that there are more ways to perform little miracles.

I fell through it about fifteen times, because I was stubborn and hard-headed. (Which I still am!)

I don't. (No joke either!)

Hey, it all depends on how you look at it?

Seanus:

I've heard *that* one before. (Maybe I should try to be a little less consistent from time to time?)

Some move into helping professions and others don't. I couldn't be a carpenter like Jesus so I became what he was too, a teacher :)

Nope, many stand by and watch. Many don't wanna know. I've never seen another person helping out in that respect here.

Thanks :) :)

Paulina?

Do you have circulation problems? ;) ;) Nah, we cross our fingers and don't press our thumbs.

That's true! Too many prefer to help themselves though and I'm beginning to see it more in Poland too :( I don't think Jesus was too keen on unjust enrichment ;)

Themselves, zeti. As a Pole, zeti, what Catholic indoctrination did you receive at school? In Scotland, I was given Religious Education, a subject I scored 100% in given my church education as a young kid. I didn't like the thrusting aspect of it, it was thrust upon me so I moved away from it. I reject any infractious and impositional forces.

Never will I be told how to interpret the Bible. If I want that, I'll ask.

i depends on teacher. I have a nun in my podstawówka and gimnazjum, and she was pretty tolerant about our own views, so i wouldnt call it an indoctrination (oh, and she liked very much Harry Potter ;). In my liceum I had 2 priests, both were very weird but not dangerous, one was obviouse gay who hate every women (he had enough guts to say that women are less inteligent) and the other one was a young men but he certainly was lacking of good sex (was kind of lil bit nervouse guy if it goes for women... he always looked like he has gonna have an erection when he talked with us ;DDD
I didnt like it that whenever there was a difficult question they quoted Bible. They assumed that things that are in Bible are indisputable. When I was in matura year I resign my religion classes.

I'm not sure if I do believe in anything. I'm hesitating. I never believed in religion since I was adult just like you. I never would like to be call an atheist thought. I hate ppl who are fiercely untolerant to ppl who believes in God and tries to riducule them (thats funny that they pretty often claims to be strictly tolerant in other matters).

Good post, zeti. Religion attracts too many weird critters, you are right. The figures I encountered in Scotland were nutty/loopy. I don't need warped minds to interpret the Bible for me. It wasn't created for self-appointed apostles or priests to dictate. Jesus intended for no intermediaries between himself and his beloved brethren that he died for. I've quoted several Biblical passages as proof elsewhere. It is for us to learn his work for ourselves in the light of an enchanted and generous soul and not to be part of any sheeple.

Yeah, some need a good sex session, I agree. Fine, follow the path of Jesus towards making the world a better place but keep raw passion alive :) :) Many get erections around some Polish girls, it's an easy phenomenon to explain :)

I am Polish American. Baptized & Confirmed in the Catholic Church.
But, I am more of an Agnostic Atheist kind of.
But I lean towards
Slavic mythology Indo-European Religion

Reincarnation is common in Indo-European based religions.

God can't be proven.

However Reincarnation is actually pretty close to being proven.
There is alot of good evidence that supports Reincarnation. But there is almost no evidence that truly supports Montheism.

Some researchers even came to the conclusion that reincarnation was real after studying many cases of children with past lives.

So we have more Evidence for Indo-European type religions that believe in Reincarnation like Hinuism & it's offbranch of Buddhism than we do for Monotheism.

There is a little evidence for God. Like the God Particle. Energy can not be created or destroyed.

It is just to me the idea of god in Monotheism seems a bit illogical.

If there was God it would be more likely like the Force in Starwars.

Or even almost to the point where the Universe is god. I mean everything we do changes the universe. Whether we build, create or kill to survive.
We are directly altering the universe.

Just a sort of culture. For example 2 people who are atheists, but one of them was raised Catholic in Italy and the other one - Muslim in Bangladesh, will most probably differ in their perceptions and judgements and the way they live their lives although they both agree in general with the atheistic viewpoint.

I can see that the traditional religion is becoming less and less popular and I believe it's because it doesn't work anymore, doesn't respond to our mental and spiritual needs and is starting to look primitive, like we grew out of it. I personally find the theory of holographic Universe fascinating - it has the potential of merging science and religion, so that they are no loger contradictory. PolskiMoc, from what you say I think you would find the theory interesting.
