I really like this polish guy i've known him for about 7 months,we are getting to know eachother.he says he likes me but he has no time cause he works 7 days a week and goes to college cause his helping out his mum bak home. i really like him too and im being patient, his well known and has a good reputation everyone that knows him likes an d respects him but , i often go and see him at his work place but recently one of his collegues also polish has been trying to back stab him telling me that his no good that i should forget him and that he will show me a good time and his trying to stair trouble from both sides .so there are some polish guys that will f there own people over in order to get what they want.

Thanks for sharing. Unfortunately, you'll find this everywhere. I've known guys to back stab each other just for the booty. So, just an FYI...it's not just PL men. Just stay focused on the man you like. He'll notice this

You may want to read the article on Polonia (Polish groups of people living abroad).

It's possible some may think like this. My GF is in Edinburgh at the moment, and she telle me that she doesn't trust the PL people there. She said that it was just something about them was different. You'd think that everyone would stick together. Maybe some others in here have an opinion. Good topic though.

Its really strange that this topic has come up, my friend (Polish) doesnt really mix with other Polish people over here, the first place she stayed was a shared house and the Polish couple that rented them a room over charged and told her and her boyfriend that in England you look after number one...

I agree with fisz. There is just a type of men all around the world, appearing in all cultures and nationalities, that will do anything to achieve their goal. But it's not a polish comon characteristics.

As for "not trusting other fellow Poles" while staying abroad, there were some people that just preyed on other honest peoples work, in result causing some feeling of mistrust among the new Polonia. As much as I would love to see all poles being fair and helpful to each other, they are only humans, and don't seem to be any different in that matter to other nationalities.

PS: During my stay in the UK I haven't encountered any back stabbing from the side of my fellow countrymen.

Hmmm not sure, my friend worked out in Spain for years and the Brits stick together and look after one another, I went out there on many occassions to visit and was treated like one of the family...

Yes I hear that the poles that have been living there for some time can prey on the new arrivals because they think that they're gullable. Makes sense, but probably not too common.

Maybe its a little different now, more Polish people here, more rivalary...who knows...

I suppose there are those types everywhere, I guess my friends were unlucky and it's put them off
