Some POLISH SENTENCES when visiting the country

Can someone help us to translate the following questions that we could show to somenone when we visit the country. >Can you please show me to a good but inexpensive restaurant? >Can you please show me a good but inexpensive hotel? >Can I please see your menu for house wine? >Where is the nearest gas station? >Can you add garlic to my order? >I am not satisfied with this meal can I order another one without extra charge? >Where can I park? >Could you please order a taxi for us? > Where is the nearest toilet? Going non-literal: Czy pan/pani może polecić dobrą, niedrogą restaurację? Czy pan/pani może polecić dobry, niedrogi hotel? Chciałbym zobaczyć listę win, proszę pana/pani. Proszę pana/pani, gdzie jest najbliższa stacja benzynowa? Proszę pana/pani, czy mogę prosić o dodanie czosnka do tego (dania) (or do tej potrawy)? My advice: don't ask this (unless it's at a western-owned hotel, maybe) but if you insist: Proszę pana/pani, nie smakuje mi to danie, czy można dostać inne bez dopłaty? Gdzie mogę zaparkować (samochód)? (again, whenever possible you want to use a guarded parking lot [parking strzeżony] Gdzie będzie parking strzeżony? Czy pan/pani może zamówić nam taksówkę? Gdzie jest najbliższa toaleta? These are all formal address (appropriate for people you don't know) and singular. If you're addressing more than one person it's more complicated. The forms pan/pana are masculine and pani is feminine. Always consider adding proszę pana/pani to the beginning or end of questions. \| Reply	Guest

(that's a wild guess, I don't drive in Poland) Where is the nearest doctor or hospital? Gdzie jest najbliższy szpital? (better to just ask for the hospital) Where is the nearest gas station? Gdzie jest najbliższa stacja benzynowa? Where is the nearest phone? Gdzie jest najbliższy telefon? Poland is in the European, not Soviet, Union! "Szukam polskie dziwki bo potrzebuje stosunek" may be useful :) Only if you want to end up in hospital! ;) But I guess it also depends who you ask. ;-) Anyway, "potrzebuje stosunek" sounds as if you were a dog - we use the word "sex", too. And if you really have to, I'd advise you to look for "prostytutki" (sounds familiar?;), not "dziwki". \| Reply	Guest
