I did a 2 week course there some time ago. Nice atmosphere but wasn't overly impressed with the method of teaching. There were only 2 people in the class so I really expected to make progress and have the course tailored to our needs but it wasn't really which was disappointing. They can help you find somewhere to stay but you are leaving it late.

I had my own place to stay. There are flats available for tourists from about 150 zl a night. Gumtree is not a bad place to look but be aware that if it says something like 1 room flat 40zl a night it's actually 40 zl per person and they would be expecting 5 people to share a room. It's summer season, prices are going up.

the height of the summer season as most polish families head into the area for a break :)

if offered this you would be staying with the family, so you wouldnt need the apartment and would save on renting, i would have thought this would give better insight :)

yes it may be best to stay with a host family-just looking at alternatives and wondering if any of you friendly people out there can help show me around
