I have stayed in Sopot several times though in winter and not summer. There is a nice little hotel called The Maryna', I think that is its name. Very nice little hotel and not that expensive though a bit of a walk in to town.

Actually, I may! I have not been to Poland for a long time and have a weeks annual leave to take. We have been thinking of Poland, after all, I do not need a visa now or all those dreadfull currency exchanges of the past. If Poland wants to join the EU then surelly I too can get one of the benefits. Anyway, why is Poland so important to you, you do not even know Polish so why are you so bothered as to where I go? I have been as far North as Gdansk and as far south as the Czech border and from the Western side, that is, Gorzow Wielkopolski and as far as Augustow in the East years and years before you were ever there.

Why, what difference does it make to you? Who knows, are you are really in Poland? With the internet anybody can tell you anything they want to. I have added posts to this forum whilst on holiday in France!

Anyway, as a PS, I know of many Poles in England and they are all very happy to be here in England. In fact, I walked home yesterday with a young Polish school girl who's mother now works in Tescos. She says that she wants to go back to Poland to see her family and friends but never to live, so it looks like you are on your own there in Poland now. It must be like being in the French Foreign Legion but we all purchased our early release! If ex Polish doctors and engineers would rather do a night shift filling counters in Tescos than a life in Poland there must be something seriously wrong with the place.
