I was in Krakow during this year's Super Bowl - I found a sports bar that was showing the game and thought I would go there and have my choice of seats, but the place was packed! I stood the whole night. Is American football that popular in Poland?

Dunno about the popularity of American football in Poland, but Poland recently had its own league. The first champions of the national league were the Warsaw Eagles.
There are also the Silesia Miners, The Crew Wroc³aw, the Pomorze Seahawks, the Devils Wroc³aw, the Husaria Szczecin, the Koz³y Poznań, the Fireballs Wielkopolska and the Kraków Tigers... ;)

Here's the official website of the PZFA, the Polish American Football Association.

Hehe, there are still few regions with no teams...why not a "Sarmations" team ?...but i'd prefer another name ;)

For those who care about American football in Poland, i saw yesterday that it's gonna be the first time that a Polish team will play in the European Championship. The current Polish champions, the Crew Wroc³aw will have to face the Prague Panthers (Czech) and the Danube Dragons (Austria). Good luck to the Crew ;)

Yeah, the Crew beat the Silesia Miners I think. My friend Jeff was the QB for the Miners, he used to play for fun here in Sikornik, Gliwice.

American Football in Poland

I'm a big fan of American Football from the UK and I'm visiting Krakow tomorrow until tuesday. Is there any chance of there being any bars or cafes that will be showing the NFL on sunday night? This is probably a long shot but thought I'd give it a go :)
